Purpose 1.1 This report updates the Board on the Young Creative Awards 2017 event, on the progress for developing Young Creatives Nottingham, and includes a reminder about the Nottingham Award and other Awards supported by One Nottingham. 2. The bus service covers areas of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, thereby making the college accessible to students from a wide catchment area. The College offer this service in partnership with Skills Motor Coaches. Skills have provided the bus service for the college for the past six years and have a history of 90 years’ experience in passenger transport across the East Midlands. This family firm continues to provide Bilborough College with a high level of service and reliability.     Walk No 5: Wilford Village and Clifton Bridge 22nd May & 4th June 2020 The full walk is about 11km but can be shortened by returning from Wilford Village via the south side of the Trent. From Musters Road, the route follows Walk No3 (option A) along Eton and Rugby Roads, turning right at the road to Rushcliffe Arena and then down the path to the left just before the Arena car park, then right and next left towards the first pond. In early June, works were underway to build a new viewing platform and a new path around the back of the pond – always something new to see when out walking! Continue along the path, going right and left over the little bridge and then cross Compton Acres road to the second pond – and yes, I had to stop and see how the goslings (seen on Walk No3) were doing………they look very well and getting bigger! After Lyme Park, cross the tram line at Compton Acres tramstop and go straight over the recreation park to Ruddington Lane and turn right. A few houses along Ruddington Lane we come across another wild creature, asleep in a tree…… The father of the household told me that, some time ago, his children and friends had a party in the front garden, to which Tiger was invited. He stayed outside overnight and unfortunately there was heavy rain and Tiger was too wet to be allowed into the house – so he has stayed in the tree ever since. Continue along Ruddington Lane and cross Wilford Lane and onto Main Road, Wilford, and shortly we pass an interesting house – Hunters’ Farm, a Grade II Listed building which dates to 1724.

    Contact us via: [email protected] 0115 948 4533 WilfordMatters with Andrew Rule - your Conservative Councillor for Wilford TAKING ACTION TO RESOLVE YOUR TRAM CONCERNS After significant delays, residents were finally able to board trams in the Ward and travel between Clifton South and Phoenix Park on Line II of Nottingham’s Tram Network. Cllr Andrew Rule said: “For those residents whose properties are situated close to a tram stop the tram will provide them with an alternative link to the City Centre. It is however important that local bus services continue for those residents, the elderly in particular, who do have immediate access to a tram stop.” Despite the tram becoming operational there remain a number of snagging works to be completed by the contractors. A list of snagging works is currently being produced by NET and its progress will be Councillor Andrew Rule and the monitored by Andrew. Nottingham Conservatives Campaign Whilst it is a largely positive development for the Ward that the tram is Team in Wilford to collect residents’ views and concerns on the tram now operational, it is important that consideration is given to those residents whose properties are situated close to the tram line.
