May 31, 2016 Dear St. Lawrence School Families,
Today, we were so lucky to have author, Vivian Vande Velde visit St. Lawrence School. She had lunch with some of our enrichment students and spoke to them about her career and experiences with writing stories for children. Our students have been reading her books and were so excited to ask her questions about her work. I want to thank Ms. Ann Wegman for organizing this wonderful event!
Tomorrow, June 1st will be Ashley Caliri’s last day here at St. Lawrence School as she leaves to attend a graduate school program. Ms. Caliri has been a vital part of our school community as our lunch and after school care coordinator, and we wish her great success in all of her future endeavors. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Serafine take over as lunch coordinator starting on June 2nd. Ms. Heagerty has agreed to work as our after school care coordinator starting on June 2nd as well. She will continue to be our school music teacher during the school day.
Thank you to all of the parents who attended our final Parent Association Meeting of the school year earlier this month. If you were unable to attend the meeting, please feel free to view the meeting minutes on our school website on the Parent Association page.
I hope that you are all having a pleasant and peaceful start to your week. As always, thank you for all that you do for our students!
