WHO WE ARE:

Bethany College is a private, liberal arts college located in Lindsborg, . Bethany College provides students personal attention within a caring community. The Bethany College Women’s Soccer program has seen tremendous success both on and off the field, from the inception of the program to now. We focus on providing the resources and guidance for our student-athletes to not only grow as soccer players but also as young adults.

Our main focus is for our student-athletes to obtain their education while also being given the chance to play soccer at a high level. We hope that through our program these young adults will leave even better than when they arrived in Lindsborg.

We strive to provide an environment where the following values will be a top priority: family, respect, hard work, community, and fun.

Our team brings together the top talent from across the country and world. Our 2018 roster included players from 7 states and 5 countries.

F U N

REGULAR SEASON (August-November)

 Game Days- Wednesday/ Tuesday (alternating) and Saturday during KCAC play  Class schedules vary on area of study and year in school throughout whole year  Time commitment for soccer during the regular season is 20 hours per week  ACE Hours (study tables) are incorporated throughout the week based on player’s schedule (2 hours required per week)

OFF SEASON (January to May)

 Team and individual lifting 3 times a week  Individual and small group sessions  Conditioning sessions  Time Commitment is approximately 8-10 hours per week  Team is allowed 3 Spring season games during this time  ACE Hours (study tables) are incorporated throughout the week based on player’s schedule (2 hours required per week)

SUMMER (May-August)

 Summer workout packets are given to all players which include the following: o Conditioning Workouts o Strength Workouts o Soccer Workouts o Nutrition Guide Anderson Stadium- All training sessions and home games are played on the artificial turf

Indoor Gym- Location of training during winter months when it is too cold outside

Weight Room- Team and individual lifting occurs during regular season and off season

Level- National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)

Conference- Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC)

The NAIA has over 250 member institutions, sponsors 25 national championships, and was the first international intercollegiate athletic association in North America. NAIA has 21 member conferences, including the KCAC. The KCAC is the oldest conference in the NAIA and the second oldest in the United States, tracing its rich history to 1890. Bethany College has been a member of the KCAC since 1902. There are currently 13 institutions in the KCAC, which creates a fun season, schedule, and, of course, rivalries.

Every year during the month of August, our team goes on a trip to play two non-conference games in a different state. This trip allows for quality team bonding and the opportunity for our players to gain life experiences.

2017 Location- Denver, Colorado Fun Activity- USWNT Game vs New Zealand and hiking mountains 2018 Location- Indiana & Illinois Fun Activity- Exploring Chicago, IL and Lake Michigan
