ITS NEWS promotes APEC Vietnam 2017 The central city of Da Nang, which will host APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in November 2017, has worked to promote the event and the beauty of its landscapes and people. The city’s streets were decorated with banners with information and the logo of APEC 2017. The Department of Tourism has worked with travel agencies to organise a programme to promote Da Nang’s tourism, providing information on the city’s events and new tourism products. To date, Da Nang has prepared nearly 22,000 rooms in about 600 accommodation establishments, including ones at international standard for the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week. In the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2017, leaders of Da Nang city will meet with leaders of APEC member economies and major businesses.

The city will also hold field trips for guests and investors, along with exhibitions at the city’s Press Centre and the venues for the CEO Summit and the meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council. Due to this major event and to avoid being inconvenienced, Indochina Travel Services (ITS) Vietnam recommends you avoid travel to Da Nang between November 5th – 11th.

REGISTER AND BOOK NOW ITS TRAVEL NEWS Hue: Thai Hoa Palace Under Restoration The throne of the emperors under the Nguyễn Dynasty (1803 – 1945) in TháiHoà Palace will be moved to a safe place to make room for restoration of the interior of the palace, according to the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre. Built in 1805, Thai Hoa Palace is considered one of the most important structures of the Hue Imperial Citadel where Nguyễn emperors reigned over the country for 143 years.Recently, the former Hue Imperial Citadel in the central province of ThừaThiên Hue was recognised as one of seven leading tourist destinations of Vietnam in 2017 at the Vietnam Tourism Awards ceremony. The Hue Imperial Citadel will be opened to the public at night from late April to September 20 and from 7 pm to 10 pm daily.

ITS HOTEL NEWS Movenpick Hotel & Resport announces first hotel in Da Nang Swiss-based international hospitality company, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, is fast establishing itself as a leading international brand in Vietnam with the signing of its sixth property in the country.The property is specifically being designed to serve Vietnam's rapidly developing tourism and business and MICE sector while also meeting emerging demand for extended and long-term stays. ITS FLIGHT NEWS Emirates enters Cambodia with Phnom Penh route via Yangon Flights to Phnom Penh take you to one of the liveliest cities in South East Asia and the epicentre of Cambodia’s industrial, diplomatic and economic landscape. A popular destination for backpackers and families alike, the city is welcoming to tourists and a perfect jumping-off point to the rest of South East Asia. While most visitors head straight for historical sites, the city is also known for its colourful and ornate culture. Emirates has expanded its presence in south-east Asia with the launch of a new daily linked service from Dubai to Phnom Penh in Cambodia, via Yangon in Myanmar.
