The Tottington Clan Last Updated 14th January 2020 ©2018, 2020 Ray Warburton PREFACE The earliest records of this family are from the parish registers of St Mary’s, Bury in the mid 17th century, and the writings of John Warburton, yhe Somerset Herald and a member of the clan. The family were located at Affetside, Tottington by 1717. Ann Cooper of Colorado documented the descendants of Richard Warbrurton (1717-97). Her tree was greatly extended with input from Christine Richie, as well as my own researches.
