Introduction
“Pinky and the Cursed Castillo of Gory Gabriel” is an E-Ticket attraction intended to anchor the Captain Sabertooth theme park planned across 4.6 acres of the Dominican Republic. The ride’s story seeks to blend Terje Formoe’s beloved universe of great characters and lore with the Caribbean’s own rich history of piracy. The attraction will feature favorite characters including Longfinger, Veronica, Pelle
& Pysa, Pinky and of course Captain Sabertooth. Guests will get the chance to explore the legend behind one of the Spanish Main’s most feared buccaneers, Gory Gabriel.
This high-speed, immersive attraction will bring the world of
Sabertooth and friends to life in a way that, hitherto, fans have only dreamed of. Guests will join Pinky on his quest to become a fully fledged member of the famed Captain’s pirate crew. They will journey deep into the bowels of the Gory Gabriel’s abandoned hilltop fortress in search of the infamous cursed treasure of El Dorado. But beware!
The treasure is said to be guarded by none other than the ghost captain himself.
Conceptually, this attraction could be described as a pastiche of elements from Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, Disney’s Haunted
Mansion and Universal’s Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. The ride operates using a RoboCoaster G2 system to simulate diverse motion experiences including chairlifts, free flying and floating on water. 2
Rotating parabolic projection screens create heightened illusion of scene changes and movement while presumably minimizing necessary real estate. Intricate sets, forced perspective dioramas and special video, audio, lighting and projection effects take guests to our story’s exciting locales. A cast of six audio animatronic figures bring favorite characters to life in a way our audience has never experienced.
This attraction will not only do justice to characters and stories that many fans already love, but introduce Captain
Sabertooth, Pinky and the rest of Formoe’s treasured creations to new audiences in a thrillingly unforgettable way.
Now prepare to make sail as we explore this new, swashbuckling adventure!

Guest Experience Outline:
Backstory
• Over a century ago, the famed Captain Gory Gabriel based his
piratical operations out of a small, idyllically located port town
in Hispaniola.
• After the captain’s death, stories about a curse surrounding his
demise scared pirates away, making the town prime real estate for
honest men and organized colonial settlement.
• The colony has thrived in the complete absence of piracy for 100
years… until today. 4
Scene 1 - Exterior Queue - Luna Inn
• An ominous Caribbean Castillo looms high over the Harbor. A
rickety looking ropeway system droops down from a high turret
down to the ground behind a quaint tavern called the Luna Inn.
• The saloon doors are knocked off their hinges. From inside can be
heard the cheers of a rowdy gang of revelers.
Scene 2 - Interior Queue - Luna Inn Barroom
• Inside the inn, tables and chairs are overturned, bottles and casks
leak their contents onto the floor and cutlasses, daggers and axes
litter the room.
• At the far end of the inn stands a barren bar. Through a transom,
RED RUDY and AUNT BESSIE, the proprietors of this hapless
watering hole, can be heard bickering about their misfortune.
• VERONICA (audio-animatronic) stands near an overturned table,
mopping up the mess and humming the tune of “The Falling Stars.”
Occasionally she stares down into her mop bucket and sees PINKY’s
face appear. 5
• Near the bar, a doorway to a back storage room stands open. It is
flanked by a portrait of pirate captain Gory Gabriel. A dagger has
been driven through his face.
Scene 3 - Interior Queue - Luna Inn Backroom
• Rows of casks line the way to a makeshift opening that has been
blown in the back corner of the room.
• A smoking cannon near the opening is the culprit.
Scene 4 - Interior Queue - Beggar’s Cavern
• An archaic pathway through a forgotten cavern leads to a mysterious
looking cave.
• Sporadic rays of sun (stage lights) beam through openings in the
rocky overhang.
• Torches flanking the path light the way over streams and sparse
aquatic plants.
• The sounds of the the rushing waters mingle with the distant,
indistinct echoes from the marauders. 6
Scene 5 - Pre-Show - Corsair’s Cave
• A piratically costumed crew member ushers guests all the way
inside. Once all are accounted for, he/she feigns to roll a
large, flat boulder in front of the entrance.
• The only light comes from sunbeams (stage lights) penetrating the
cracks in the top of the cave.
• A gaping tunnel in the cave is barricaded by boulders and
stalagmites.
• A distant light appears in the tunnel (video screen) and
approaches the guests. It belongs to a torch held by CAPTAIN
SABERTOOTH, who leads LONGFINGER, PELLE, PYSA and a posse of his
pirate crew.
• The Captain mumbles over a treasure map, and points his crew in the
direction of the entrance to Gory Gabriel’s hilltop Castillo.
• Pinky(audio-animatronic)appears from out behind one of the
boulders downstage right and addresses Captain Sabertooth,
insisting he and the crew will need his help. 7
• The Captain dismisses him as a mere cabin boy and not a true pirate.
He charges him to stay in the cave and leads his crew off stage left.
• Longfinger stays back to offer some consolation to Pinky, but
admonishes him to follow orders.
• Pinky asks him how the curse came to be. Longfinger explains when
Gabriel stole the treasure of El Dorado, he took along with it the
Emperor’s cursed Golden Sword. It granted Gabriel control of El
Dorado’s treasure in life, but damned him to guard it for eternity
in death.
• Images of Gabriel, the treasure and the sword flash across in a
magical montage onscreen. The rest of room is brought to life using
animated projection mapping.
• Sabertooth calls back impatiently, and Longfinger rushes off to join
him.
• Pinky gets the idea to sneak into the castle and find the
treasure for Captain Sabertooth to prove himself a true pirate. 8
• He invites guests along, assuring them that Captain Sabertooth
will make them part of the crew as well. He races off stage
left.
• The crew member now pretends to roll aside another flat
boulder on the side of the cave opposite the entrance.
Scene 6 - Boarding Area - Ropeway Embarkation Terminal
• Guests proceed from the cave to another wing of the
cavern that sits up against the shore. A large opening in the
cavern (video screen) shows a setting sun over the ocean. The
sounds of waves and seagulls echo through the room.
• An old wooden boardwalk guides guests to the boarding area.
• In the foreground, four-seat ropeway cars loop continuously on an
old lift.
• Near the rear of the loading area, a large, elevated
horizontal wheel guides the chairs in their elliptical
circuit. 9
• Next to the boarding platform, a steady stream of water flows
through a trough to turn a waterwheel that is attached to a
pulley that appears to move the ropeways. The remnants of an old
dam used to stop up the trough can be seen scattered along the
sides.
• Crude signs with hastily painted warnings about using the lift hang
from the side rails and walls.
• At the loading area, a crew member directs parties to their
ropeway cars. The vehicles appear to be made out of palm tree
wood and canvas and held together by nautical ropes.
• The cars move slow enough for guests to store belongings in the
latched under seat compartments, sit down and pull down the
shoulder restraints.
• A Dominican- accented voice reminds passengers to follow safety
precautions.
Scene 7 - Ride Scene 1 - The Climb
• The chair moves slowly into the rocky passage. 10
• Pinky appears in a tunnel (video screen) just off to the right. He
wishes the passengers luck and moves offscreen, appearing to
climb on top of the ropeway car. It sways as he lays down on
top of it. His hands (hydraulic figures) reach out and grab the
edge of the canvas overhang.
• The chair tilts back slowly as the ropeway begins to ascend to
the castle.
• To their left, guests enjoy a beautiful vista of the sunset over the
ocean (screen projection). To the right, they can see the lantern-
lit, harbor town (forced perspective diorama)shrink as they climb
closer and closer to the castle’s highest turret.
• An orchestral version of “A Pirates Night” swells and mingles with
the sounds of the ocean. Pinky can be heard singing along from
above.
Scene 8 - Ride Scene 2 - The Haunting
• When the car arrives at the turret, the score takes an eerie turn
and the magic hour light of the sunset is drowned out by a lurid,
green fog. 11
• Further down the unloading area, another elevated wheel continues
to turn the ropeway cables… but there are no cars on the track
(video screen).
• On the ground below, cutlasses, pistols and other pirate
accoutrements are strewn about the ground.
• Just off the right side of the vehicle, Pelle and Pysa
(Audio Animatronics) huddle behind the wreckage of a detached
ropeway car. Pinky calls down and asks them what happened to the
crew. Pelle tremulously points to a dark corridor just right of
the unloading area.
• A single green orb (projection) glows at the far end of the hallway.
• The ropeway car begins to tremble unnaturally. The car’s overhead
pulley mechanism is heard snapping away from the rope. Pinky
exclaims in horror as the wobbling car appears to levitate
towards the green orb.
Scene 9 - Ride Scene 3 - The Corridor
• As the car approaches the corridor, it erupts in a ghostly, green
fire (surface mapping). 12
• The floor below cracks in half and the chair begins to accelerate
down the hallway.
• A ghostly pipe organ rendition of “Gory Gabriel’s Song” and
supernatural whooshes fill the musty air.
• The corridor is lined with axe-bearing suits of 16th
century Spanish armor. The axes begin to fall as the car races
further towards the light. On the walls, paintings of Gory
Gabriel appear to leer at the hapless guests (scrim).
• The orb begins to emit bursts of green light(lasers) until the
vehicle reaches the bannister at the end of the hallway.
• The car tilts back and the orb erupts into the ghost of Gory Gabriel
(parabolic projection) laughing menacingly down at the passengers.
He taunts them for denying the curse and seeking his treasure. He
vows vengeance in a verse of his song.
• His massive visage dissolves into an army of ghoulish
skeleton pirates. The car begins to shake as the bannister below
gives way.
Scene 10 - Ride Scene 4 - The Atrium
• Skeleton ghosts (projections and moving figures) shriek by the 13
vehicle as it tumbles down into darkness.
• Moonlight (stage lights) can be seen beaming through the
skylight(projection)at the top of the tower.
• Tilting down, riders find themselves flying high above a spacious
atrium.
• Below, spirits pursue members of the crew up and down stairs and
across the main floor that is dressed in ornate Persian rugs,
aristocratic looking furniture and a large fireplace (forced
perspective diorama and moving figures).
• Above the chaos, a massive stain glass window of Gabriel (parabolic
projection) smiles down sardonically.
• The car ducks under a flying buttress and is thwarted by a
skeleton ghost (moving figure), sending it tumbling upside down
to the left.
• The skeleton returns, causing the car to turn sharp left. Through a
hole in the wall (video screen), guests can see ghosts wrecking
other cars into the outer walls.
• Pinky can be heard groaning up above as the car is tossed about. 14
• Ghostly hands wrap around the side of the vehicle
(projection mapping). The car leans back and hurdles towards the
stain glass window as though being lobbed by the ghost.
• The depiction of Gabriel animates and opens his mouth, ingesting the
car as it crashes through window.
Scene 11 - Scene 5 - The Banquet Hall
• Glass shatters as the car crashes down onto a massive dining
table in the banquet hall (wrap-around projection). It
rumbles as it skids along the sturdy table, knocking away the
table settings.
• It is silent for a moment.
• Green mists quickly roll in and form the ghost of Captain
Gabriel at the head of the table. He compliments Pinky’s
fortitude, but promises his and his friends’ demise is near.
• With a cackle, he disappears and green mist begins to seep in from between the stone walls and floors. The room begins to tremor violently. Stones and rafters crash to the ground. 15
• The floor beneath the vehicle implodes. A falling chandelier
smashes the table in two, sending the vehicle gliding down into the
black hole in front of it.
Scene 12 - Ride Scene 6 - The Library
• The vehicle crashes into the void below. Debris from above can be
heard raining around them. Pinky asks riders if everyone is
alright.
• Moonlight from above seeps in, revealing Captain Sabertooth trapped
underneath a massive globe (video projection). Pinky’s hands
(moving figure) let go of the car and he rushes to help his Captain
(video projection).
• He helps Captain Sabertooth out just before a giant stone crushes
the globe. The Captain chews Pinky out for not following orders.
• The distraught Captain kicks a forgotten wooden chest in the
corner. The chest shatters, and from the wreckage, the Captain
curiously removes a gleaming golden sword with a skull shaped hilt. 16
• Pinky immediately identifies the sword as the one from Longfinger’s
story. Before he can explain to the captain…
Scene 13 - Ride Scene 7 - Final Confrontation
• The library disintegrates into an ethereal green whirlwind
(parabolic projection) that lifts Sabertooth, Pinky and the
ropeway car into the air.
• The sword flies from Captain Sabertooth’s grasp and gets caught in
the vortex.
• Other members of the crew like Longfellow, Pelle and Pysa can be
seen twirling through the gyre.
• Skelton ghosts begin to circle and collect into the massive visage
of Gory Gabriel, who smiles down at his captives.
• He taunts Captain Sabertooth as a pathetic pirate king, and
threatens to destroy the crew.
• Gabriel begins to demonically disintegrate the helpless pirates
into green particulate matter.
• He wickedly reprises a refrain of “Gory Gabriel’s Song.” 17
• Pinky attempts to grab the sword as it blows by him to no avail.
• Gabriel now turns his attention towards the ropeway car. It begins
decomposing into green particles(projection mapping).
• In one final attempt, Pinky manages to grab hold of the sword. He
hurdles it in front of the ropeway car and it utterly disintegrates.
• The ghostly Captain Gabriel cries out in agony, and
dissolves into a swarm of skeleton ghosts. His cries multiply as
the ghosts are sucked into a spinning orb of green. The orb
compresses and explodes into a storm of luminescent green particles.
• The room goes black and the pirates can be heard hurdling in all
directions from their suspension.
• The ropeway car spirals out of control crashing through a stone wall
on the vehicle’s right side.
Scene 14 - Scene 8 - The Treasure Room
• The car tumbles past a misting waterfall and appears to splash
down into a quiet subterranean stream (the ride vehicle will
actually be several inches above the water). 18
• Moonlight (stage lights) seeping in through the hole in the wall
catches the glint of gold on the shore ahead.
• Pinky can be heard calling out to the pirate crew, telling them that
guests have found the treasure.
• As the car rounds the corner, riders can see mounds of gold
coins, jewels, crowns, scepters and other riches strewn
everywhere.
• Pirates can be heard cheering as they run through the caverns
jumping headlong into piles of bullion (video screen).
• Pinky and Captain Sabertooth (Audio Animatronics) emerge from
behind a large mountain of gold into the foreground, bedecked in a
glittering array of baubles.
• Sabertooth praises Pinky for his bravery and cleverness and
declares him one of his noble pirates.
• He then faces guests and welcomes them all as honorary members of
his crew. 19
• The rest of the pirates cheer and begin to sing a chorus of “The
Pirates are Coming.”
• As the car floats away, Pinky waves at his new friends
bidding them thanks and a fond farewell.
Scene 15 - Exit Queue - Terje’s Wharf
• The car rounds the bend and approaches a quiet quay.
• A costumed crew member welcomes guests back from their adventure
and helps them disembark.
Scene 16 - Photograph Pick-Up - Rocky Alcove
• After following a palm tree-lined lane, guests will come across a
small, rocky alcove where pictures of their adventure
appear in openings in the rocks(video screens).
• Costumed crew members distribute guests “cut” of the treasure- a
cardboard doubloon with a barcode.
• Guests use the card to scan their photos using the RFID reader below
the tv monitors. 20
Guest Experience Narrative
Prologue - Village in Colonial Hispaniola
It’s been well nigh a century since any pirate plunged his blood- bleached boot into the serene sands of this quiet coastal haven on
Hispaniola. While during the Golden Age of Piracy, this veritable paradise was the seat of operations for the dreaded Captain Gory
Gabriel, tell of an ancient curse surrounding sanguineous scallawag’s mysterious demise has warded away superstitious pirates and other ne’er-do-wells. The absence of pirates has made for an honest man’s eden on this land of fruited trees and fish-filled estuaries.
Gabriel’s old taverns and armories have been converted into successful stores, trading posts, restaurants, colonial government houses and charming, cheerfully-colored homes.
Scene 1 - Exterior Queue - Luna Inn
An ominous Caribbean castillo looming high on an isolated hill serves as this idyllic port city’s only reminder of its piratical past. This decrepit dark-stoned palace was once the residence of the notorious Captain Gabriel. Since his death, no god-fearing man has dared to venture up the crumbling citadel’s rickety chairlift, for 21
fear of unleashing the Captain’s wrath.
Directly beneath the castillo’s forbidding precipices rests a cozy, freshly painted little tavern called the Luna Inn. Its sea blue exterior, accented by cheery red shutters and soft yellow chimney make the building as appealing to the eye as the savory aromas wafting from the kitchen are to the nose of a hungry mariner.
But something seems off. The saloon doors to this otherwise meticulous establishment have been knocked off their hinges. Even more curious, the din of shattering glass and rowdy cheers can be heard pouring into the street - not exactly the kind of conduct you’d expect in a town full of humble merchants and colonial dignitaries.
Intrigued, we make our way over to the entrance.
Scene 2 - Interior Queue - Luna Inn Barroom
Once we set foot inside, it becomes clear that noises outside were not just noisy revelers, but raiders. Tables and chairs are overturned, shattered bottles and steins leak their contents on to the wooden floor and cutlasses, daggers and axes litter the barroom from end to end. The scent of gunpowder is fresh on the air.
Smoking bullet holes riddle the inn’s red walls and bright, yellow ceiling. 22
Several paintings on the wall appear to have been sliced by the blade of a sword. This is not the work of ordinary robbers. This sort of destruction could only have been caused by pirates!
There is barely enough space for us to wind our way through the wreckage. At the far end of the inn stands a barren bar, robbed of all its libations (Yup, definitely pirates). Through a transom above an elegant bronze liquor shelf behind the bar, two old, but lively voices can be heard bickering. It’s none other than Luna Bay’s favorite innkeepers RED RUDY and AUNT BESSIE tending to their rogue- ravaged kitchen. Aunt Bessie chides Rudy for his “half-cooked idea” to open another inn away from their beloved Luna Bay. Rudy grumbles indignantly and tries to distract Bessie from her tirade by talking to her niece, VERONICA.
After passing a few overturned tables, we find Veronica in the middle of a pile of broken dishes half-heartedly mopping up the mess.
Despite all the chaos, she seems almost addlepated with happiness as she mops rhythmically and hums the familiar tune of “The Falling
Stars.” Every so often, we catch her lovestruck gaze turn down towards her mop bucket. In it we see the face of a boyishly handsome young sailor with windblown blond hair peeking out from a blue bandanna. Her lovestruck reverie is broken when she hears Rudy call out to her. 23
Just past Veronica, in a darkened hallway, we notice an open door that appears to lead into a back storage room. Determined to find the perpetrators, we press on. As we proceed, we can’t help but notice the large portrait of a scarred, grizzled looking old salt in a regal blue frock coat and black cockaded hat on the wall next to the door. A dagger has been driven through the subject’s craggy, menacingly featured old face. We glance down at the name plate. It reads:
“Captain Gory Gabriel, 1585-1632.”
Scene 3 - Interior Queue - Luna Inn Backroom
Beyond the door, we find rows of casks stacked on top of one another.
While a few of the barrels have been displaced and emptied of their contents, its clear the liquor was not this band of marauders' main quarry. The smell of waterlogged wood and must indicate that this room has not been refurbished like the colorful barroom. In fact, decades of dust and cobwebs still rest undisturbed in the dimly candlelit room.
Maneuvering past the towering columns of kegs, we find that a makeshift opening has been blown in the back corner of the room. A smoking cannon that has been forgotten at the side of the passageway is the obvious culprit. The lingering smoke proves that we are hot on the trail of these pirates! 24
Scene 4 - Interior Queue - Beggar’s Cavern
On the other side of the smoky opening, we are taken aback to find ourselves in a vast cavern, all but forgotten by time. An archaic pathway leads over a beautifully pure stream and a lively array of aquatic plants. Sporadic rays of sun peek through small openings in the rocky ceiling.
Still, the natural serenity of this breathtaking grotto has been disturbed by pirates. A smoking hole in the rocky wall and a pile of rubble below indicates where the cannonball made contact, and echoes of the riotous swashbucklers wandering through the cavern’s many passages mingle with the tranquil trickle of the babbling stream.
We notice the dust path is flanked by skull shaped torches that light the way down to the entrance of an ominous looking cave. Undaunted, we press on in our pursuit. Once we reach the cave’s portentous mouth we pause, take a breath and step into the darkness.
Scene 5 - Pre-Show - Corsair’s Cave
“Avast there, ya lubbers!” a raspy brogue rings out. With a startled jump, we turn around to see a seedy looking tar in a tattered 25 bandanna and loose white shirt. The few beams of light leaking through the ceiling reflect off of the sailor’s deviously toothy grin. The pirate steps forward and motions us toward the center of the passage with mischievous decorum. We hesitantly comply. Once we are all collected in the center, we are met with the sight of a gaping tunnel barricaded by boulders and stalagmites.
Our consternation multiplies when the light from the entrance begins to retreat as we see our questionable host roll a large, flat boulder in front of what seems to be the only way in or out of here. What have we gotten ourselves into?
Suddenly A distant flame appears in the tunnel, accompanied by faint murmuring. All are silent, attempting to make out the conversation of approaching party.
“It’s this way!”
“Are you loony? We just came from there!”
“I don't like this place one bit…”
“Shhh! Belay that you cowards!” We hear a familiar gravelly baritone raise above the indistinct chatter. 26
The voices grow louder as the light gets nearer. We can start to vaguely make out the silhouettes of the oncoming party… it looks like a whole crew of pirates!
The flame blazes from a torch wielded by the party’s ostensible leader. He appears to be reading something as he steps into the foreground. He is a tall, commanding presence bedecked in an elegant black frock trimmed in gold. His towering bicorne, emblazoned with a skull-n-crossbones distinguishes him as the captain of the scruffy looking company. Curly black hair cascades from beneath the hat around an oblong face, powdered and pale like an aristocrat. His thick, well lacquered mustache wriggles around in contemplation.
This is not just any pirate… it’s the feared CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH. He is surrounded by a posse of his “noble pirates” including
LONGFINGER, PELLE and PYSA, who huddle around the captain as he attempts to decipher an ancient looking piece of paper.
Captain Sabertooth looks up and points dramatically to his left. “The map says the entrance to Gabriel’s castle is this way lads! Look lively now!” Longfinger looks away from the map and jumps as he notices that they are not alone… we have been spotted. He draws his sword and points at us threateningly.
“Captain, it looks like we’ve got some stowaways on this little expedition of ours.” The rest of the crew instantly reaches for their 27 swords and pistols. Sabertooth turns toward us brandishing the torch with menacing elegance.
A high-pitched voice echoes through the cave calling out, “Captain
Sabertooth!” The pirates begin to quiver in fear, and Sabertooth looks around nervously.
Suddenly, a friendly (and familiar) looking boy in a blue and white shirt darts from behind a boulder on the left side of the tunnel. It’s
Pinky!
The crew sighs in relief as Captain Sabertooth shakes his head and groans, “Pinky, you insubordinate whelp! I ordered you to stay back and mind the Dark Lady. And now you’ve led these nosy lubbers right to us! Are you lookin’ to get yourself marooned here?
“Gosh, no Captain Sabertooth, sir,” Pinky says sheepishly, “but going after Gory Gabriel’s cursed treasure… see, I thought if I could help you find it, I could become a full-fledged member of your pirate crew!”
The whole company bursts into laughter. Sabertooth barks at the lad,
“Ye be nothin’ but a cabin boy, a right churlish one, who can’t even do his Captain’s bidding! You’re daft if you think a scrawny worm like you could ever be a TRUE member of my noble band of pirates.” 28
Pinky sulks, completely embarrassed.
Longfinger chimes in, “Captain, what do we do with this lot?” Pointing at us with his sword.
The Captain pockets the map, and starts to reach for his sword but pauses, “Ah! This sniveling rabble isn’t worth the blood on my sword.
Pinky! Since you’ve already disobeyed my orders, see if ye can’t redeem yourself by staying here and making sure none of these miserable cockroaches try to follow us.”
Pinky sighs reluctantly, “Aye Aye, Captain.”
“And if ye mess up this time, I’ll be finding myself a new cabin boy and ye’ll be finding yer’self at the end of the plank!”
The rest of the crew chuckles quietly. “Belay that you swabs!” yells the captain, “Come, treasure beyond your feeble imaginings awaits us!”
The company runs off into an adjoining tunnel on the right.
Longfinger stays back and tries to console our downhearted friend.
“Pinky, I know you want to become a pirate more than anything. But
Captain Sabertooth is right. A good pirate follows his Captain’s orders.” 29
Pinky sullenly replies, “But I’ve been a great help to the Captain before. During battles, raids and plenty of treasure hunts.”
“Aye, you have! But you’re still only a boy, Pinky. And this isn’t just another plunder. This is the cursed treasure of El Dorado. The fear of this treasure and Gabriel’s ghost have kept the likes of us pirates away for decades.”
“What is this whole curse thing about anyways?”
Longfinger sighs and the sunbeams begin to fade until the room is completely dark.
“Over a hundred years ago, Gory Gabriel and his fearsome crew sailed up a hidden jungle river and found the great golden city of El
Dorado.”
Suddenly, the room is alive with color as though it has become the very jungle of which Longfinger speaks. Fronds and flowers adorn the cave walls and where the tunnel opening was, we now see Gabriel and his men rowing up a river in longboats toward a gleaming gold tower.
The call of tropical birds and rustling tree branches underscore the pounding beat of tribal drums. 30
“Once they made landfall, the crew sacked the fabled city of gold, massacring its citizens and robbing them of their riches.”
The walls around us turn to solid gold, and we watch in horror as a group of menacing pirates ransack the beautiful city. Blood begins to streak down the walls.
“Gabriel and his men fought their way into the Emperor of El
Dorado’s grand treasure room. After dispatching the guards, Gabriel went for the emperor himself.”
Blood continues to flow down the golden walls as we watch Gabriel and the gold-crowned emperor of El Dorado battle in the middle of the vast treasure room.
“Before Gabriel could deal his final blow, the Emperor raised his golden sword and said, ‘He who abuses the power of El Dorado’s treasures in life shall be cursed to guard it for an eternity after death.”
The golden walls are now totally saturated with blood. We watch helplessly as Gabriel brings his sword down upon the aged emperor.
Gabriel smiles demonically and lifts up the golden sword high up into the air. A blood red sun glares off the blade, casting a blinding light into the room. The tribal drums go silent. 31
The light fades, and as we wipe our eyes. We find ourselves back in the cave with Pinky and Longfinger.
“Gabriel took as much treasure as he could carry back to his castillo.
On the way back to collect the rest, his ship was lost in a hurricane.
Pinky exclaims in awe, “Wow!”
Captain Sabertooth bellows in distance “Longfinger! Quit your dawdling!”
Longfinger hastens after the Captain, and calls back to Pinky, “Just follow the Captain’s orders Pinky. Don’t leave this cave!”
A mischievous smile lights up the boy’s face. “By myself, I may be just a cabin boy. But now I’ve got a whole crew to help me!” He gestures toward us excitedly. “I bet if we found the treasure for the
Captain, he’d make us all members of his pirate crew! Curse or no curse, this is our chance! Are you with me?”
How could we say no to the chance to join Captain Sabertooth on a treasure hunt? Pinky motions at us, “Let’s get going mates!
Treasure’s waiting for you and me!” He darts off in the tunnel. 32
Light pours into the cave as our pirate host rolls another boulder away to reveal an exit leading off in Pinky’s direction. Excited for the journey ahead, we head confidently into the light.
Scene 6 - Boarding Area - Ropeway Embarkation Terminal
We step out of the cave, blinded by the sun. As our eyes adjust, we find ourselves in yet another wing of the cavern. Echoes of crashing waves and seagulls through the rocky recesses cues us that this part of the cave is set right up against the shore. Through a large skylight on the far wall, we can see the sun setting over the ocean.
In the foreground, a Leonardesque ropeway system loops cars continuously on an old lift . Awestruck, we make our way down a weathered wooden boardwalk towards the ropeway platform.
Faded signs that read admonitions like “Danger,” “Cuidado” and “No
Trespassers!” dangle from the side rails and cave walls. But we’re no cowards! Still… we can’t help but feel a nervous lump form in our throats.
As we approach the the boarding platform, we can hear the creaking of the large, horizontal wheel, elevated on its spoke, as it guides the chairs in their elliptical circuit from the rear of the embarkation area. At the base of the spoke, we see the waterwheel that propels the 33 pulley system turning steadily. A stream of water flows through a wooden trough to turn the wheel. Our skeptical eyes can’t help but notice debris from an old dam scattered along the ground beside the trough. More pirate handiwork no doubt...
At the loading area, another member of the crew directs us to our ropeway car. The four seat vehicles appear to be made out of palm tree wood and canvas and is held together by well-tied nautical ropes. Once we are seated, we pull down the restraints over our shoulders and the chair begins to enter a dark, rocky aperture just out of view of the loading platform. A commanding Hispaniolan voice warns us to remain seated inside the car, lest we awaken any
“supernatural presences.”
Scene 7 - Ride Scene 1 - The Climb
Our car moves slowly through the dank, rocky passage. All of sudden,
Pinky appears in a tunnel just off the right of car and runs up to the side. “Everybody, ready?” he asks ebulliently. We respond with a hearty “Aye Aye!”
“Alright! Remember… We get in, find the treasure, give it to the
Captain, become true pirates! How hard can it be? Good luck mateys!” 34
Pinky moves behind the car, and leaps onto the side! We can feel the car sway as he climbs it and lays down on top of the canvas canopy.
His little hands reach out and grab the edge.
Our car tilts back slowly as we ascend to Gabriel’s castle. Once our car exits the cavern, we are greeted with a stunning panorama of the whole harbor. To our left, we watch the last of the sun’s crimson rays sink behind the ocean. On our right, we see the quaint Caribbean town light up its minuscule windows and street lamps beneath a blanket of stars. The village seems to shrink as our car climbs higher.
On the air, we can hear the classic shanty “A Pirates Night” mingle with the sounds of the ocean. Pinky even joins in the chorus as our car nears the castle’s highest turret.
Scene 8 - Ride Scene 2 - The Haunting
Once our car enters the tower, the magic of the night is instantly suffocated by a lurid, green fog. The lush score gives way to unnatural creeks and groans that echo through the hall. The arcane stones in this dark, deserted room reek of the must and mold of ages.
Through the mist, we can barely make out another elevated wheel at the end of the ropeway… but where are the rest of the cars? 35
Below us, cutlasses, pistols and other pirate accouterments are strewn about the ground.
Just off the right side of the vehicle, we see Pelle and Pysa huddling behind the wreckage of a detached ropeway car. Pinky calls down,
“Pelle! Pysa!”
The two look up at Pinky with horror in their eyes, and shush him violently.
Pinky perplexedly whispers back at them, “What’s wrong mates? What happened to the crew?”
The two tremulously point ahead to a dark corridor just to the right of the unloading area. Through the fog, we can just barely make out a glowing, green orb at the very end of the hallway!
CRRRREEEEAAAAKKK! The ropeway car begins to tremble unnaturally. This can’t be good! SNAP! Pinky exclaims as we feel the ropeway car detach from pulley. But where’s the crash?
Our wobbling car is levitating… and what’s worse… its floating straight towards that ethereal light! 36
Scene 9 - Ride Scene 3 - The Corridor
As our car approaches the corridor, the air grows the deathly still.
This can’t be good…
Flash! All at once, the entire hallway is engulfed in a supernatural green flame. The floor below us cracks in half and ghoulish music begins to blare out of nowhere. The suits of 16th century Spanish armor lining the hallway seem to be looking at us through their rusty helmets.
Suddenly, our car begins to accelerate down the hall towards the orb!
A devilish laugh rings out and the suits of armor bring down their axes, barely missing us as we soar by. On the walls, we can see paintings of Gory Gabriel leering at us with all the warped glee of a sadistic garroter!
Bursts of green light erupt from the orb as our car reaches the banister at the end of the hallway. A deep, supernatural voice begins to sing, slowly and menacingly…
“A hundred years have gone by like hours while I’ve perfected my scariest powers.
I’m here to make sure that my treasure’s secure.
I can rattle my chains and sigh in the night…” 37
Our car tilts back and before our eyes, the orb erupts into a towering, skeleton-faced apparition, clothed in a tattered seaman’s coat, threadbare captain’s hat and cumbersome mold-covered chains. His luminous, jaundiced eyes stare down at us. His decaying teeth click to the chilling cadence of his spectral cackle.
“Be these more foolhardy pirates here to pillage me treasure? Ah Ha
Ha! What a pleasant surprise? No! There be too much lubber in ye to be with that Sabertooth’s lot!”
Pinky shudders through a response, “This be my crew!”
The ghost laughs with hysterical menace,“Ha! A thousand pardons young captain! In my time, pirates were more than scurvy little shrimps! But please, avail yourself of Captain Gory Gabriel’s legendary hospitality!”
Gabriel’s laughing visage dissolves into an army of hundreds of ghoulish skeleton pirates. The car rattles as the banister below us gives way. Down we plunge into a hellish void…
Scene 10 - Ride Scene 4 - The Atrium
Gabriel’s ghostly armada shrieks by as our car tumbles down into darkness. Sparse beams of moonlight peeking in from the castle’s 38 towering ceiling reveal high, tiled walls adorned in swords and disquieting paintings of Captain Gabriel’s exploits.
Our car bobs and bounces as though possessed by Gabriel’s supernatural powers force. With a jolt, our car tilts forward, facing us straight down into what we can now see is a capacious atrium. Gabriel’s poltergeists emerge in endless procession out of a large marble fireplace and chase Sabertooth’s men up and down a crumbling staircase and across ornate Persian rugs. Some of the poor pirates even try to hide behind the Gothic furniture to no avail. Above the madness, a grotesque stain glass window depicts Gabriel’s human face watching the scene with daggers in his eyes.
Our car hurdles through the air, barely managing to avoid a flying buttress. Pinky grunts and groans, struggling to hang on as our vehicle is tossed about.
Whoosh! A ghost flies right in front of our car and sends us tumbling upside down, closer to the floor. Just as the car levels out, he returns forcing the car to turn sharply to the left. Through a hole in the wall, we catch a brief glimpse of other ghoulish bands wrecking cars full of pirates into the castillo’s outer walls.
We lurch to a halt! Someone (or something) has the car in its grasp.
A set of ghostly fingers wrap around the side of the vehicle and grip 39
it tightly. Our entire crew screams as we feel our captor hoist our hapless vehicle over his head and lob it forward. We barrel uncontrollably through space towards the stain glass! The painting
Gabriel animates and opens its mouth voraciously, as our car smashes through the window.
Scene 11 - Scene 5 - The Banquet Hall
Shards of glass fly as our battered ropeway car crashes down onto a massive dining table in the middle of a once-grand banquet hall. It rumbles violently, sliding down the sturdy table and knocking away an endless array of antique dining ware.
We skid to a stop, and take a deep breath… but we’re not out of the woods yet!
A green mist quickly rolls in underneath the tables and transfigures into Gabriel’s ghost at the head of the table. He chuckles drolly.
“Well, ye be made of sturdier mettle than I reckoned mates. ’Tis a pity your courage go to such waste. But I’m afraid your voyage is at an end!"
POOF! With a cackle, Gabriel disappears and the green mist seeps between cracks in the stone walls and floors… this can’t be good! 40
The entire room begins to tremor violently. Paintings and tapestries ornamenting the walls crash to the floor and suits of armor flanking the table collapse. As the quake grows more and more forceful, large stones and support beams tumble from the ceiling!
A gigantic crystal chandelier smashes onto the table before us, snapping it in two! The floor underneath implodes, and our car slides down into a dark void.
Scene 12 - Ride Scene 6 - The Library
SMASH! Our car crashes to the ground into the pitch darkness. Debris can be heard raining down from above.
A weak, but familiar voice calls out through dark, “Avast, who’s there!”
Moonlight creeps in from above, revealing none other than Captain
Sabertooth, helplessly trapped underneath what looks like a large globe.
Pinky gasps, “Captain!” He lets go of the car and leaps off to help the Captain. 41
“Pinky!” yells the Captain feebly, “You insolent brat! I thought I told you to…” He coughs violently.
The resourceful cabin boy scans the area. As more light pours in, we can see that our car has fallen into what must have been the
Captain’s subterranean study. Tall bookshelves sit up against the wall, and piles of maps and other curios litter the floor.
“Aha!” Pinky exclaims. He lifts up a fallen beam and uses it to pry the gigantic globe off of Captain Sabertooth. After some straining, he succeeds. The captain stands up and brushes himself off foppishly.
CRASH! A ponderous stone from above crushes the globe in the very spot where the Captain laid just moments ago. The Captain jumps back with a fright, trying agonizingly hard to maintain his composure.
Pinky picks up the Captain’s hat and offers it to him. He snatches it from him angrily and sneers at the lad, “Foolish boy!"
Pinky protests indignantly, “I just saved your life!”
“Saved my life? Ha! You prolonged my death! And sealed your own while you were at it! There’s no escaping this one, boy! We can hide, but there’s no escaping Gory Gabriel. You should have just stayed back at the cave!” 42
The Captain furiously kicks an old wooden chest sitting against the wall. It shatters and piercing golden light beams from the wreckage.
What could it be?
Sabertooth reaches down and carefully lifts up a solid, gold sword with an ornate, skull-shaped hilt. He regards the weapon curiously,
“What in Hades’ creation?”
Pinky gasps, “Wait! Longfinger told me about this sword!”
Sabertooth snaps back, “What’d he say?”
“He said…”
Scene 13 - Ride Scene 7 - Final Confrontation
Like something out of a nightmare, the Library disintegrates instantaneously into an etherial, green whirlwind.
The sword is blown out of Sabertooth’s hand as he, Pinky and our car are caught in the vehement vortex. All manner of wreckage tumbles through the gyre. We even catch glimpses of other pirates like
Longfinger, Pelle and Pysa hurdling by. 43
Out of nowhere, a swarm of skeleton ghosts, circle and collect into the monstrous semblance of Gory Gabriel, who smiles menacingly down at his captives from the center of the maelstrom. We can hear a chilling pipe organ rise above the din. The maniacal wraith begins to sing…
“I’m Gory Gabriel! You take care.
I’ll haunt you here, there and everywhere.
Rush to your boat and sail away fast!
Oh Sabertooth, you’ve braved your last!”
The ghost captain cackles deliriously, and seizes Captain Sabertooth in his hand.
“So this be the great Captain Sabertooth, the Pirate King! And what a king who leads his subjects, his crew, on such a foolhardy errand as to steal me cursed treasure! Well now, yer majesty, ye’ll watch as I destroy every last one of your piteous pirates and then… you will perish!”
With a stroke of his large, gossamer hand, the fearsome Captain vaporizes a poor pirate caught in the wind into a cloud of dust. We can see Sabertooth recoil in horror as our car continues to spin around Gabriel. Below, we notice Pinky struggling vainly to catch the golden sword as it blows by him. 44
Gabriel continues his onslaught, pulverizing members of the crew before our horrified eyes. As our car spins around in front of his face, its clear who his next victim will be…
He laughs at us and taunts… “Not so brave now, are ye mates?”
His long skeletal fingers point directly at us, and our entire car begins to disintegrate into green dust. It looks like the end…
As the seconds tick toward our demise, we see Pinky manage to grab hold of the sword in one final attempt. With every iota of his strength he launches it directly in front of our car. Almost instantly, it dissolves into a cloud of green dust. We're saved!
Gabriel releases us from suspension and cries out in agony. His precipitous form dissolves into hundreds of shrieking skeleton ghosts who claw at the air in agonized futility. Their cries multiply as they are sucked into a spinning orb of green at the center of the vortex. The wind grows to a deafening roar, as the orb compresses smaller and smaller until…
BOOM! The glowing globule explodes into a storm of green luminescent dust, sending our car and the rest of the pirates spinning out of 45 control. The world around us is a blur as we feel ourselves crash through a stone wall into darkness.
Scene 14 - Scene 8 - The Treasure Room
SPLASH! Our car crashes down into a stream right next to a misting waterfall. Did we make it?! Or did Gabriel take us down to Hades with him?
We float for awhile in the darkness. Then as we round the bend, a few stray moonbeams play off of something glistening on the shore. No it couldn’t be… It's gold!
Off in the distance, we faintly hear Pinky’s voice, “Captain, over here! I think they found it!” Torches on the wall magically illuminate to reveal an immense subterranean cavern with mountains of gold and jewels stretching for miles back into it many passages. It’s the treasure of El Dorado!
Cries of celebration reverberate through the cave as Sabertooth’s pirate crew rushes headlong into the mounds of bullion. The elated pirates toss coins gleefully up into the air and shovel handfuls at a time into their pockets. 46
Captain Sabertooth and Pinky run out from behind a large pile of gold near the shore. Pinky’s stride is weighed down by a clunky golden necklace. Meanwhile, the captain airily sports a bejeweled, gold crown in lieu of his hat. He turns to his young accomplice.
“Pinky, today you showed yourself braver, more resourceful and more cunning than any pirate I have ever known. You saved my life and my crew. And for these courageous deeds, I hereby name you the noblest of my fearless crew of pirates.
The Captain tenderly puts his arm on Pinky’s shoulder, and the room erupts in jubilee. Through an irrepressible grin, Pinky humbly replies, “Thank you Captain Sabertooth, sir.”
“And you mateys,” the captain motions towards us. "For finding the treasure of El Dorado, and not stealing for yourselves, I name you all honorary members of Captain Sabertooth’s crew."
We did it! Pinky and the rest of the pirates let out a loud huzzah in our honor! Underneath all the merriment the tune to one of
Sabertooth’s classic shanties swells, and the captain begins to sing…
“We sailed the Caribbean and anchored here last night.
We heard the ancient story of a treasure gleaming bright!
We fight one for all! Every man’s on call! 47
I am Captain Sabertooth, I’ll drive you to the wall!
Now the whole crew chimes in!
“Heave! Ahoy! Rich we all will be the day we find the treasure that waits for you and me!
The day we find the treasure that waits for you and me!”
Our car floats around another bend, and it is time to bid our shipmates a fond farewell. Pinky waves at us excitedly and calls out,
“Thanks for your help mates! Couldn’t have done it without you!”
Captain Sabertooth salutes us reverently as we float out of sight.
Scene 15 - Exit Queue - Terje’s Wharf
Still reeling from our harrowing adventure, we barely take notice as our car rounds the bend and approaches a quiet quay. A sign hanging off the side of a lamppost reads “Terje’s Wharf” in neat, white paint.
A friendly looking pirate helps us out of our ropeway car, and happily welcomes us to the crew. After gathering up our effects, we head on to our next adventure as proud pirates! 48
Scene 16 - Photograph Pick-Up - Rocky Alcove
We follow a palm tree-lined lane up a gentle slope. To our left, we notice a rocky alcove where some other members of the crew are gathered. Curious, we head over to check it out.
A fellow pirate hands us a golden coin - our cut of the day’s spoils.
But this is no ordinary coin. Through magical openings in the rocky wall, we spot a still image of us soaring through the night in our ropeway car. By inserting our coin into a small aperture beneath these mystic vistas, our image is saved for us to look back on and recall when we became noble pirates under the great Captain
Sabertooth!

Red Rudy and Aunt Bessie bicker as they clean the kitchen. They
occasionally interact with Veronica.
ARGUMENT 1
Veronica hums “The Falling Stars.
AUNT BESSIE
I told you no good would come from leaving our
beloved Luna Bay! 50
RED RUDY
For the love of St. Olaf! There hasn't been a pirate raid here in over a hundred years, Bess.
How safe can you get?! Plus the price I got on this inn was a steal!
AUNT BESSIE
HUMPH! I'll bet it was! Just down wind of a bewitched castle nonetheless. I tell you Red, you and your half-baked schemes!
RED RUDY
Awww now Bess! That tommyrot about a curse is nothing more than a stupid, old myth. To keep away stupid old pirates like that Captain
Sabertooth!
AUNT BESSIE
And a fine job it's doing! Who do you think that was who just looted this place, Red?!
RED RUDY
Ahh, you're daft woman! There’s no way that was 51
Sabertooth. He’s terrified of Gabriel, you know that!
AUNT BESSIE
I’d recognize that blackguard’s greasy mustache anywhere.
RED RUDY
Rubbish! I’d have seen if it were that rotter. You’re just imagining things! Ask your niece. Hey Veronica!
VERONICA
Yes Rudy?
RED RUDY
You were out there when the curs barged in! Was
Sabertooth with ‘em?
VERONICA
Gosh, I dunno Rudy… I don’t think so? But I did
see this dreamy… 52
RED RUDY
HAH! You see? No Sabertooth. Probably not
even pirates at all!
AUNT BESSIE
(sighs) Rudy… you're hopeless.
ARGUMENT 2
Veronica hums “The Falling Stars.
RED RUDY
You know? Maybe this whole robbery was really a
blessing in disguise?
AUNT BESSIE
Are you loony?!
RED RUDY
Well, since the place is a wreck anyways… might
as well use the chance to remodel the place! 53
AUNT BESSIE You are loony!
RED RUDY
We can’t let the business go stale now, Bess.
We’ve gotta give our patrons a reason to come back!
AUNT BESSIE
Land sakes Rudy! We’ve only been open a week!
RED RUDY
Precisely! Folks around here aren’t simple sailors and shopkeepers like in Luna Bay, old girl. They’s well-to-do guv’nors and merchants with much more… what you call… epicurean tastes.
AUNT BESSIE
I don’t care who they are! I warrant they won’t find better Lefse in this hemisphere!
RED RUDY
It’s not just about the food Bess! It’s about the atmosphere! 54
AUNT BESSIE And just what do you know about atmosphere?
RED RUDY
Surely you jest! Why when I was a seaman,
I sailed this world and ate at all the
fine dining establishments. Sheep’s liver
in Liverpool, paella in Pamplona, escargot
in Gascony, Turkish delight in…
AUNT BESSIE
Turkey?
RED RUDY
Of course not! Bulgaria.
AUNT BESSIE
Ugh!
Argument 3
Veronica hums “The Falling Stars. 55
RED RUDY
You know, Bess, I was thinking of maybe learning the ol’ windbag?
AUNT BESSIE
Rudy, I’ve been living with you for years now and haven’t learned a single thing.
RED RUDY
I mean the accordion Bess…
AUNT BESSIE
Now why the devil would you think of that at a time like this!
RED RUDY
Well if I learn the accordion, once we get this place looking all spic and span again, I could entertain the customers while they eat.
Dinner and a show!
AUNT BESSIE
Oh that’s a fine idea Rudy, make them all gag on their food why don’t you? 56
RED RUDY
Hey! Don’t go insulting a noble instrument
like the wind… er uh… accordion!
AUNT BESSIE
Oh I wouldn’t dream of it! Just the deluded
old man who thinks he could play it like a
virtuoso.
RED RUDY
You never know! And it sounds like we’ve got
ourselves a bonnie little singer out there
too. What do you say Veronica? You sing while
I play the ol’ accordion?!
VERONICA
Oh I don’t know Rudy… I’d never want to
upstage you!
RED RUDY
She takes after you, you know?
AUNT BESSIE
I couldn’t be prouder!

Captain Sabertooth, Longfinger and crew venture through the
cave. Pinky interacts with them and the audience. 59
PYSA
It’s this way!
PELLE
Are you loony? We just came from there!
LONGFINGER
I don't like this place one bit…
CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH
Shhh! Belay that you cowards! The map says the
entrance to Gabriel’s castle is this way lads!
Look lively now!
Longfinger points to the audience.
LONGFINGER
Captain, it looks like we’ve got some stowaways
on this little expedition of ours.
PINKY
Captain Sabertooth, sir! Wait up!
Pinky enters stage left. 60
CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH
Pinky! You insubordinate whelp! I ordered you to stay
back and mind the Dark Lady. And now you’ve led these
nosy lubbers right to us! Are you lookin’ to get
yourself marooned here?
PINKY
Gosh, no Captain Sabertooth, sir! But going after Gory
Gabriel’s cursed treasure… see, I thought if I could
help you find it, I could become a full-fledged member
of your pirate crew!
The entire crew laughs hysterically.
CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH
Ye be nothin’ but a cabin boy, a right churlish one,
who can’t even do his Captain’s bidding! You’re daft
if you think a scrawny worm like you could ever be a
TRUE member of my noble band of pirates.
LONGFINGER
Captain, what do we do with this lot?
CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH
Ah! This sniveling rabble isn’t worth the blood on 61
me sword. Pinky! Since you’ve already disobeyed my
orders, see if ye can’t redeem yourself by staying
here and making sure none of these miserable
cockroaches try to follow us.
PINKY (disheartened)
Aye Aye, Captain.
CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH
And if ye mess up this time, I’ll be finding myself
a new cabin boy and ye’ll be finding yer’self at the
end of the plank!
The crew laughs.
CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH (Cont’d)
Belay that you swabs! Come, treasure beyond your
feeble imaginings awaits us!
They exit, leaving Longfinger and Pinky alone.
LONGFINGER
Pinky, I know you want to become a pirate more than
anything. But Captain Sabertooth is right. A good
pirate follows his Captain’s orders. 62
PINKY
But I’ve been a great help to the Captain before!
During battles, raids and plenty of treasure hunts.
LONGFINGER
Aye, you have! But you’re still only a boy, Pinky. And
this isn’t just another plunder. This is the cursed
treasure of El Dorado. The fear of this treasure and
Gabriel’s ghost have kept the likes of us pirates away
for decades.
PINKY
What is this whole curse thing about anyways?
LONGFINGER
Over a hundred years ago, Gory Gabriel and his
fearsome crew sailed up a hidden jungle river and
found the great golden city of El Dorado.
Once they made landfall, the crew sacked the fabled
city of gold, massacring its citizens and robbing them
of their riches. 63
Gabriel and his men fought their way into the Emperor of El Dorado’s grand treasure room. After dispatching the guards, Gabriel went for the emperor himself.
He who abuses the power of El Dorado’s treasures in life shall be cursed to guard it for an eternity after death!
Gabriel took as much treasure as he could carry back to his castillo. On the way back to collect the rest, his ship was lost in a hurricane.
PINKY
Wow!
CAPTAIN SABERTOOTH (V.O.)
Longfinger! Quit you’re dawdling!
LONGFINGER
Just follow the Captain’s orders Pinky. Don’t leave this cave! 64
Longfinger exits.
PINKY
By myself, I may be just a cabin boy. But now I’ve
got a whole crew to help me!I bet if we found the
treasure for the Captain, he’d make us all members of
his pirate crew! Curse or no curse, this is our
chance! Are you with me?
Let’s get going mates! Treasure’s waiting for you and
me!

crew, on such a foolhardy errand as to steal me cursed
treasure! Well now, yer majesty, ye’ll watch as I
destroy every last one of your piteous pirates and
then… you will perish!
Gabriel laughs maniacally as he vaporizes the crew.
Pinky lifts the curse by tricking the Captain into
disintegrating the cursed sword. Gabriel screams in agony
as his ghost dissolves.
