Conference games still tied after a five-minute 5-on-5 overtime advance to a five-minute 3-on-3 overtime (and sudden victory shootout if still tied) with the team that wins the second overtime/shootout receiving an extra point in the standings (3/SW in the standings). A 3-on-3 overtime or shootout win then is worth two points in the standings while the team that loses the 3-on-3 overtime/shootout receives just one point for the tie. The 3-on-3 overtime and shootouts only affect conference standings while the game is officially a tie for NCAA purposes. NCHC Facts and Figures Upcoming Games • For only the second weekend this season (Nov. 11-12), all eight NCHC Friday, Dec. 9 teams are in action against conference foes. Three of the four series are *Colorado College at Miami, 7:35 p.m. ET TV: FOX College Sports Atlantic match-ups of top-20 teams, including the second No. 1 vs. No. 2 series this season, both of which have involved NCHC teams. This weekend No. *No. 18 Western Michigan at No. 8/9 North Dakota, 7:37 p.m. CT 2 Denver hosts top-ranked Minnesota Duluth, while back on Oct. 28-29, *No. 20 Omaha at No. 17 St. Cloud State, 7:37 p.m. CT then No. 2 UMD swept then No. 1 North Dakota in Duluth.
