Als erste weibliche Verkörperung des Doktors sorgte Jodie Whittaker für Begeisterung bei den Fans – jetzt kehrt sie in einer neuen Staffel in ihrer Paraderolle zurück. Begleitet von ihren drei besten Freunden Ryan (Toson Cole), Yaz (Mandip Gill) und Graham (Bradley Walsh) muss sich der Doktor seinen bisher größten Herausforderungen stellen. Die 12. Staffel beginnt mit „Spyfall”, einem zweiteiligen Blockbuster, der mit cineastischer Optik, fesselnden Charakteren und einer Vielzahl neuer außerirdischer Gefahren überzeugt. Über „Doctor Who“ Staffel 12 In Staffel 12 sehen sich der Doktor und ihre Begleiter zahlreichen alten und neuen Bedrohungen gegenüber. Auf ihren Reisen durch Raum und Zeit begegnen sie etwa den körperlosen Kasaavin, einer außerirdischen Spezies, die sich mühelos durch jedes Hindernis bewegen kann und das Universum mittels DNA-Manipulation übernehmen will. Mit Mut und Einfallsreichtum muss das Quartett ihre Machenschaften durchkreuzen, um die Menschheit zu retten. Bei der Suche nach einer flüchtigen Person sorgen zudem die Judoon – rhinozerosartige Aliens, die als rüpelhafte Polizeitruppe für die intergalaktische „Schattenproklamation“ arbeiten – für Chaos. Doch wer ist der geheimnisvolle Flüchtige und welche Verbrechen werden ihm zur Last gelegt?     Monday 23 October 2017 Meet the cast on the all new series of Doctor Who When Jodie Whittaker takes over as the thirteenth Doctor on the global hit show next year, she will be joined by an all new regular cast. BBC announces today that Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill will line-up as the new regular cast on Doctor Who. Bradley will star as Graham, Tosin will play Ryan and Mandip will play Yasmin. Also joining the series in a returning role is Sharon D Clarke. New head writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall, who made the decision to cast the first ever woman in the iconic role, is also shaking up who will travel with the Doctor in the TARDIS, with a team of new characters. In more exclusive news, it is confirmed that the new series will be a ten-week run of fifty-minute episodes, kicking off with a feature length hour for the opening launch. Chris Chibnall says: “The new Doctor is going to need new friends. We’re thrilled to welcome Mandip, Tosin and Bradley to the Doctor Who family.
