Following his time in the Army, Don has covered the South across various markets, but has spent the last 36 years as a news and farm broadcaster for the Voice of Louisiana Agriculture Radio Network. Don is a former NAFB national and regional VP. In 2017, Don was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award from the LA Association of Broadcasters. Carey Martin – NAFB Farm Broadcaster Carey grew up on a dairy and beef cattle farm in DeSoto parish, where he was active in 4-H and the FFA . He broadcasting career started in 1988, prior to his graduation from LSU in 1992. He’s worked as a farm broadcaster in Tulsa, OKC and Omaha. In 1997 he joined the staff of the LA Farm Bureau Federation in Baton Rouge. In 2015 Carey became the Director of Information and Public Relations for the LA Farm Bureau Federation, but he is still on the radio every day, splitting the network broadcasting duties with his long-time friend and mentor Don Molino. Neil Melancon – Farm Broadcaster Neil Melancon is the EP of This Week in Louisiana Agriculture and former GM of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Agri-News Radio Network (LFBARN). With LA Farm Bureau since 1996, Neil has served in a variety of public relations functions. Neil holds a B.A. in Journalism from Louisiana Tech and a Master's of Mass Communication from LSU. He is a native of New Orleans, and in his spare time he runs a martial arts studio.
