PROPOSAL TO RELOCATE OAKFIELD PUPIL REFERRAL UNIT, BLABY TO NEW NORTH AND SOUTH LEICESTERSHIRE LOCATIONS IN AND SHEPSHED

Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Leicestershire County Council to re-locate Oakfield School (DFE No 1102), Hospital Lane, Blaby, , Leicestershire LE8 4FE to new locations in the North and South of Leicestershire.

Oakfield School is a 30 place Pupil Referral Unit for pupils aged 5 to 11(as defined by s19 Education Act 1996). The school will be relocated from the start of the summer term 2020. The school will relocate to Newlands Community Primary School, Belle Vue Road, Earl Shilton, Leicestershire LE9 7PA and the former Youth Centre, campus, Forest Street, Shepshed, , Leicestershire LE12 9DB, There will be no change to the number of places available, 30 places will be available split across 2 sites with 15 pupil places at each provision, to provide a north and south Leicestershire provision Further information regarding the above proposals can be viewed on the County Council website: http://leicestershire.gov.uk/school-place-planning or can be obtained from School Organisation Service, Children and Family Services, Room 100, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RF.
