INTERCEDE TO RESTORE MORALITY, RASANGA URGES THE CLERGY

By Communication Directorate

Religious leaders have been asked to devote the country and its leadership into prayers to avert inhuman acts and shocking murders that has left Kenyans in deep shock. According to Siaya Governor His Excellency Cornel Rasanga, the spirit of murders that has been witnessed in Migori and which saw 26 year old Ms. Sharon Otieno raped, murdered and dumped in the thicket can only be tamed by prayers.

The Governor noted that the intercession of the clergy will significantly reduce such inhuman behaviour from happening in Siaya or any other part of the country. His Excellency was speaking earlier today at St. Peters ACK Cathedral here in Siaya where he had joined faithfuls for prayers and a fundraiser to help with the church construction.

The Governor used the opportunity to also highlight important projects lined up for implementation and which are underway including the KShs. 400 million Siaya County stadium, the KShs. 1 billion Ugunja water project and the installation of a CT scan machine at the County Referral Hospital.
