Arrangements for at The Riverside Stadium - here's what you need to know

Take That are performing at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday 1June 2019 and FC wishes to provide the following advice to fans on security, tickets, ID, bags, prohibited items, searches, food and drink and much more.

General Please be assured that public safety is our main priority. Our event and security teams continue to remain vigilant and are working together with local and national authorities to ensure our visitors have the safest and most enjoyable experience whilst visiting The Riverside Stadium.

We have a number of security measures in place, visible and non-visible, with personnel working internally and externally for all events.

What is the running order of the concert? 2:30pm North and South Entrances to the onsite Fan Villages open Food, bars, entertainment and official merchandise The villages are available to all ticket holders 4:30pm Door open to hospitality areas 5:30pm Doors open to the stadium seats and pitch 7:10pm Rick Astley on stage 8:25pm Take That on stage 10:30pm Anticipated time for the concert to end

We ask that you allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the village facilities and to take your place before the start of the show.

How do I find the entrances? There are two main banks of entrances, called the NORTH ENTRANCE and the SOUTH ENTRANCE. If you have tickets for pitch standing, West Stand Lower Tier (Blocks 1-14), West Stand Upper Tier (Blocks 66-80) or corporate hospitality (excluding the Hardwick Suite) please head for the North Entrance. If your tickets are for the East Stand (Blocks 30 - 53B), Hardwick Suite or the South Stand (Blocks 54 – 64) please use the South Entrance. There will be signs and stewards around the outside of the stadium to help direct you to the correct entrance. Is there an accessible entrance? Yes, both North and South Entrances provide accessible routes. What are the conditions of entry?

Fans are reminded that to gain admission to the event they should bring:

Tickets or e-tickets

Your booking confirmation (just in case!)

Please read the front and back of your ticket for all information on where you enter, general ‘Dos and Don’ts’ and important security and safety measures.

Kindly note that we reserve the right to refuse access to any ticket holder who arrives drunk or who attempts to bring alcohol into the venue.

Age restrictions

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the show, we have imposed the following age restrictions:

 No Under-fives  No pitch access to Under-14s unless accompanied by an adult  All attendees must be in possession of a ticket or e-ticket at all times

Can I bring a bag to the stadium?

You are permitted to bring one small bag or handbag, no larger than A4 size. Anything larger will not be permitted.

Please do not bring backpacks or any unnecessary/additional bags.

There are no temporary storage facilities available at The Riverside Stadium and ticket holders are reminded that they must find their own suitable and safe storage for any prohibited items. Please do not leave bags unattended in any circumstances.

Bags left in unauthorised surrounding areas will be disposed of immediately and could cause significant disruptions to access to and from the stadium.

Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for late admission or non-admission as a result of this policy.

Will I be searched by on arrival?

Please cooperate fully with all security checks and support these vital members of our team as they carry out important work. Searches will be in operation for the safety and security of all in attendance and form only one small part of our security measures. The submission to a search of persons attending this event is a condition of entry. If any person refuses to submit to a search without justifiable reason, entry will be refused.

There will be multiple security checks in operation at the main entrances and other key points.

Please be aware that the checks will take time and we ask that you allow additional time to enter the site.

Which items are prohibited?

The following items may not be brought into the stadium:

 Alcohol (on sale inside)  Food (on sale inside)  Aerosols, flasks, cans  Glass vessels  Pyrotechnics  Pointed or bladed articles  Umbrellas  Pushchairs  Camping equipment  Recording equipment, including cameras, iPads, Tablets  Projectiles or anything that could be used as a weapon

Can I buy food and drink at the stadium?

Yes, and there will be plenty for you to choose from!

The Riverside Stadium will offer a wide range of hot and cold food, snacks and beverages. These will be available from 2:30pm in the Fan Villages and from 5:30pm at concourse outlets.

Most outlets accept credit and debit cards, contactless payments, as well as traditional notes and coins.

Wine, prosecco, gin and other alcohol can be purchased from designated concessions. We operate a strict Challenge 25 policy. Anyone purchasing or consuming alcohol must be aged 18 or over and ID checks will be in operation.

Additionally, there will be a number of outlets around the side of the pitch. Kindly note that payment for goods at outlets around the pitch is CASH ONLY.

There will be an onsite ATM machine which will be located in the main fan village close to the North Entrance.

What about water or medication?

Everyone is entitled to bring a SEALED 500ml plastic bottle of water into the event. You must dispose of any part used bottles prior to arrival.

Please contact our Safeguarding Department on 01642 757691 as soon as possible if you need to bring medication with you or have particular special needs.

How can I buy merchandise?

Official merchandise will only be available at The Riverside Stadium.

There will be official merchandise areas in the Fan Villages once you arrive at the stadium, offering the latest items associated with Take That and Rick Astley.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy from unofficial sellers or street traders.

Transport and parking

Please note that all roads immediately adjacent to the Riverside Stadium will be closed throughout Saturday 1 June 2019.

There will be no public parking at the stadium on the day of the event.

There are a limited number of parking bays for wheelchair users at the stadium, which must be booked prior to the event. Please contact the MFC ticket office as soon as possible on 01642 929421 for details.

There are many public pay & display car parks in Middlesbrough town centre and recommended walking routes are available from the bus station, railway station and parking areas. Please visit www.middlesbrough.gov.uk for details. Can I be dropped off and picked up right outside the stadium?

The roads surrounding the Riverside Stadium will be closed to all traffic irrespective of circumstances. Whilst it is possible for you to be dropped off or collected on neighbouring roads these are likely to be busy. There are designated drop off points on Dock Street, near , but we would recommend arranging a suitable place closer to the town centre to avoid congestion.

I’ve never been to The Riverside Stadium before

Don’t worry about that we are here to ensure you enjoy your first ever visit. Please look out for our stewards who will be happy to answer questions and point you in the right direction.

Additionally, we will have a team of wayfarers working both inside and outside the stadium to guide you to the correct entrances. Please look out for wayfarers wearing yellow t-shirts along the walking routes from the main transport hubs, then as you approach the stadium please look out for our blue ‘HERE TO HELP’ tops.

CCTV

Kindly note that CCTV cameras operate on all approaches to the Riverside Stadium, all entrances and Fan Villages as well as concourses, seating areas and the pitch. In Summary

Come Early. We ask you arrive in enough time to pass through security checks and cooperate fully with our team

Have your Ticket Ready. Ticket checks will take place on entry to the Riverside Stadium. Please have them to hand and ready for inspection.

NO BAGS LARGER THAN A4 SIZE OR BACK PACKS at all will be permitted into the venue. There is no storage or cloak room facility available so please make alternative arrangements before arriving to the venue.
