Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL – Beginning May 30th, Mikun Airlines is pleased to launch a new morning service from the North Coast of Labrador to Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The service will begin in Nain in the morning with service to Natuashish then to Happy Valley-Goose Bay, also allowing for a morning connection to Gander and St. John’s via PAL Airlines.

“We are very pleased to offer this new service which offers exceptional morning service to Happy Valley-Goose Bay and St. John’s,” said Calvin Ash, President, Innu Mikun Airlines. “Overnighting an aircraft in Nain to allow for this service is something communities on the North Coast have been requesting. Giving Nain and Natuashish the first morning connection to Happy Valley-Goose Bay and the only morning connection to St. John’s is something we are proud to offer,” added Ash.

In addition to the morning departure from the North Coast, Innu Mikun Airlines is also adding an evening flight from Happy Valley-Goose Bay to Natuashish and Nain. This flight allows for easy connection from St. John’s and Gander in the afternoon via PAL Airlines, ensuring residents can get back home at night. Innu Mikun Airlines now has three return weekday flights to/from the North Coast of Labrador.

As part of these service enhancements, Innu Mikun Airlines has introduced new rates on all its North Coast routes.

“This new service by Innu Mikun Airlines is such a significant step forward in air travel for the North Coast,” said Anastasia Qupee, Grand Chief of the Innu Nation. “These early morning flights bring northern air travel into the 21st. century by providing a first-ever opportunity for same day connection to larger centres.
