11:00 – 11:15 NeuroShifting: SmartSoundTM for optimal wellness and performance Dr Max Hicks In this session Max will introduce and briefly explain the science and applications of NeuroSonica SmartSoundTM, a new and highly effective genre of ‘brain audio’ with the distinction of being the first therapeutic audio anywhere in the world to have been included as a medical device by a Federal health department.

Offering evidence based assistance ranging from the management of Stress, Insomnia and Depression, through to general wellbeing, cognitive enhancement and improved performance, Max proposes that this neuroscientific technology has the potential to make a significant contribution to global health, resilience and wellbeing.

Its digital format means that it can be very quickly delivered anywhere and on any scale, making it a powerful and convenient tool for use in schools, universities, hospitals, workplaces, emergency services or therapeutic practices, or for private use at home.

And it can work in perfect synergy with self-development and motivational programs.

Importantly, for the many men who find it difficult to reach out when they feel they are not coping, this digital delivery also means that powerful assistance can be available quickly and privately – which is sometimes the best way to get the process of recovery started.

2:40 – 3:25 AFTERNOON TEA

3:25 – 4:00 ‘Transitional Emotions’ and their connection to well-being Barry Nicolaou Transitional emotions are middle ground neutral based emotions which enables a quicker evolvement into a state of happiness, appreciation and gratitude. All too often in our society Men are told to ’stay positive’ or to just ‘keep your chin up’. Men in particular who have been brought up to ‘just deal with it’ are often the ones who just muddle through because everyone in their family (Men) had to ‘deal with it’ themselves. We literally have generations of Men who are emotionally disconnected with themselves, disillusioned with immediate male and female relationships because of their inability to actively look within. Much of this is to do with Inherited thinking (the way GRANDDAD and DAD dealt with hardships) as well as seeming ‘un-mucho’ to other Men talking about looking within themselves. Men can be blind to identifying the difference between helpful traditional family traits and toxic yesteryear fearful thinking practices.

Men are exceedingly needing to become ‘mould breakers’ and immediately identify parental traits which have become an unhealthy part of current subconscious beliefs. Our need to IDENTIFY our current negative emotional state, reach for a neutral state, then a positive state, enables a transitional process whereby Men can cognitively understand the step-by-step emotional process whereby we show more love towards themselves and their family. IMD is about Men being in ‘receptive mode’ to better understand themselves. It’s time to state plainly that which we already know – that thousands of years of evolution is leading ‘Men’ to become mindfully and inwardly self-aware. The outcome of identifying unhelpful traits is the beginning of finding the emotional state of understanding which ultimately leads to showing more love and appreciation internally and externally.

4:00 – 4:35 Q&A with Tami and Paul Roos Paul & Tami Roos Paul and Tami Roos will be conducting a Q&A Session to be moderated by Ron Malhotra. Their discussion will be around a successful life, striving for your best, reaching your potential, family support and mental health. With their long term marriage and success in their chosen paths, their experience and support of each other is a great example of love, strength and commitment.

LEON RURI Leon Ruri was born in Huntly, New Zealand in 1976. He grew in a traditional town with his 2 brothers and 2 sisters. In 1994 Leon relocated to Perth, Western Australia in search for new opportunities and a fresh start. A staunch rugby league player Leon by chance met the recruiter for the Western Reds on the Friday of his arrival into Perth and by Monday he was …. to try out for the team. After being successfully recruited and after a full season he dislocated his shoulder which halted his professional aspirations until playing in the Metro Cup in Sydney in 1999. This experience inspired Leon to discover a new path for himself in helping other men. He has come a long way since his breakdown and now says he has broken through. Leon shares his story of venerability in a way that men can relate and highlights the need for men to feel safe to communicate their innermost feelings. Leon is the founder of “Haka For Life” an initiative to raise awareness for men’s mental health and Suicide prevention.
