According to the new definitions, MSMEs with an investment of Rs 1 cr and turnover of Rs 5 cr will be classified as micro-units. Units with an investment of Rs 10 cr and turnover of Rs 50 cr will be classified as small units while those with an investment of Rs 50 cr and turnover of Rs 250 cr will be classified as medium units. Moreover, exports will not be excluded from the turnover cap. The Cabinet also approved a Rs 50,000 crore equity scheme for MSMEs. As per this scheme, MSMEs can now be listed.

10 Jun Covid-19: Govt extends validity of motor vehicle documents till Sept 30 The government announced further extension till September 30 for the validity of motor vehicle documents, including driving license and vehicle fitness, in view of Covid-19 pandemic.

Ordinance,, 2020 Uttar Pradesh Cabinet today approved Cow-Slaughter Prevention (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020. The amendments are aimed to protect the cow and prevent crimes related to cow slaughter.

13 Jun Supreme Court allows private firms to negotiate with staff on wages for lockdown

28 Jun President promulgates ordinance to bring co-operative banks under RBI supervision The amendments do not affect existing powers of the State Registrars of Co-operative Societies under state co-operative laws. The Ordinance amends the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 as applicable to cooperative banks, an official statement said on Saturday.

24 Jun Rock band Queen honoured with Royal Mail stamps for 50th anniversary The latest Royal Mail series stamps will have prints of Queen, the veteran rock band which featured the legendary Freddie Mercury as the frontman.

The set of 13 stamps will go on sale from July 9 and feature the artwork of the most popular album covers including Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night at the Opera, News of the World, The Game, Greatest Hits, The Works, and Innuendo.
