For years, our traditional community programs for adults have focused on individual classes and programs: cooking, crafting, technology, aging, wellness, exercise. While we will continue to offer some classes in this vein, we’re also taking a step back to gain a broader perspective. We’re renewing our commitment to developing programs of our community, by our community and for our community: programs that have a distinctive “Community Ed” flavor and clarity of purpose. GET INVOLVED Be a part of our evolution. Watch for more information on how you can get involved in the projects that we’re developing. Imagine: • Cursive writing and creative lettering classes and clubs for youth that culminate in a pen pal partnership with the Edina Senior Center • Intergenerational knitting classes that knit hats and mittens for new community members experiencing their first Minnesota winter, or create kniffiti public art • A storytelling workshop that leads to a community storytelling night • A weekly intergenerational “knowledge exchange” where youth help adults with their cell phones, computers and Kindles, while adults help youth get back to some simple basics like cooking, crochet, and cards
