They appear at various events such as Q-Con Belfast and have their own independent concerts. They were runner up for the 2018 Epic Awards and finalists for the 2019 Amatoo Awards. Last month (November), the Irish Video Game Orchestra held a concert to help raise money for Extra Life, a charity that gives money to hospitals for sick and injured children. Their mission is to “Play Games, Heal Kids”. The concert featured music from video games such as Super Mario Galaxy, Undertale, Ori and the Blind Forest, Final Fantasy and more. They also featured some non gaming songs such as a medley of Studio Ghibli songs. I really enjoyed what they played that night. There was a balance of instrumental and vocal pieces. Plus, they covered music from many different platforms like Nintendo, Microsoft and some indie stuff like with Undertale.
