Price comes to Coastal after serving as an assistant coach at , in Birmingham, Ala. during the 2004 season. Prior to her time at Samford, Price played volleyball for four years and competed in track and S eld as a high jumper for three years for the . While with the Crimson Tide, Price became the S rst player in school history to have 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career assists and also earned the Southeastern Conference’s 2003 Scholar-Athlete of the Year award as a senior. She was also a member of the 2000 SEC Western Divi- sion Champion team and was named the Most Improved Player in 2001 at Alabama. A native of Alpharetta, Ga., Price is a 2003 graduate of Alabama where she re- ceived her bachelor’s degree in management, and then went on to obtain her mas- ter’s degree in marketing in 2004. “Erin has taken on a lot of the recruiting for us this year. She’s done most of the travelling and has already signed girls for the 2007 sea- son,” Bauer said. “She’s also been working with the girls in the classroom to keep them on top of their academics.”
