India, China to maintain peace in border areas

he high level meeting between Defence Minister Mr. Manohar Parrikar and Gen. Fan TChanglong, Vice Chairman of Central Military Commission of People's Republic of China has agreed to maintain peace and tranquillity in border areas. Gen. During the meeting the two sides agreed to implement the consensus reached between Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping to ensure peace and tranquillity in the India-China border areas. Gen. Fan and Defence Minister were of the view that peace and tranquillity in the India-China border areas is the cornerstone for smooth development of bilateral relations in diverse areas.
