The World Tour Grand Finals involves the best players from the 2019 ITTF World Tour, which comprises of 12 events in 12 countries during the year. The top 16 men and 16 women, the top 8 Men’s, Women’s and Mixed doubles pairs will be making the trip to the $1,001,000 event. This preview is designed to provide an update on the Agricultural Bank of China 2019 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals. Enclosed are statistics and notes that will be of assistance during the tournament. Men’s and Women’s Singles will each have 16 players, Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles will each have 8 pairs. Seeding of the players or pairs is determined by the final order of the World Tour Standing. Men’s and Women’s Singles • Will be conducted as knockout events • Draw will be conducted according to ITTF and World Tour Regulations. • There will be no separation by Association. • All matches shall be the best of 7 games Men’s and Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles • Will be conducted as knockout events. • Draw will be conducted according to ITTF and World Tour Regulations. • There will be no separation by Association. • All matches shall be the best of 5 games The Winner, Runner Up and two semi-finalists pairs of Mixed Doubles will qualify to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, provided they are otherwise eligible. #ITTFWorldTour 2 The tournament will be played in accordance with the Laws of Table Tennis and the Regulations for International Competitions. How does it work? Men’s & Women’s Singles Places available: 15 players with the most points from the 2019 World Tour events, plus one host country player that meets the below criteria. If the player from the host association is already amongst the 15 invited players or does not meet the participation criteria, the 16th player in order will be invited. Criteria: Have to play in a minimum of 5 events Men’s, Women’s & Mixed Doubles Places available: 7 doubles pairing with the most points, plus one host country player that meets the below criteria. If the pair from the host association is already amongst the 7 invited players or does not meet the participation criteria, the 8th pair in order will be invited.
