Meetings, physicals, tests and equipment checkout will be held Tuesday and Wednesday and the first workout is set for Thursday, Aug. 11. Newcomers will be involved with the initial workout at 2:45 p.m. in Javelina Stadium. The schedule will be the same Aug. 12. The entire team will work out for the first time Aug. 13 at 3:15 p.m. Midnight Madness is set for 12:05 a.m. Thursday. FORMER JAVELINA FOOTBALL and basketball player Robert Williams is a defensive lineman for the Texas Revolution team in the Champions Indoor Football League. After finishing his basketball eligibility, Williams joined the Javelina football team for two seasons. The Revolution plays in the Allen Events Center in Allen, north of Dallas. The facility has been home to the Lone Star Conference men’s and women’s basketball championship tournaments for the past several years.
