Luncheon 11:00 am at the Golden Corral, 616 S. Ridge Road, Wichita, KS. $8.00 buffet for over age 60. Following lunch, those that would like can check out the 2020 Greater Kansas RV Show at Century 11 Performing Arts Convention Center, 225 W. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS. Show opens at 10 am and ends at 8 pm. Tickets are $5.00.

March 26-29 Winter FMCA’S 101st International Convention & RV Expo rally— Tucson, Arizona

th th April 17 -19 Belle Plaine 35th annual downtown Festival around Tulip time. On Saturday April 18th there is Live Entertainment, Family Fun, BBQ Cookoff, 20 vendors, Food Court and Car Show. The Twisters may want to meet up and spend the day together. The Belle Plaine city has 3 rv sites that can be reserved by calling (620-488-3433) or Oxford, KS Napawalla Park located in the southwest section of Oxford at the intersection of Napawalla Road and West Clark has electric hookups available for campers in the Park for a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) per day. 620-455-2223 There is a "self-pay" station for payment of camping fees located at the north end of the park in front of the shower house/restrooms. Water is available and a sewer dump is provided for visiting campers. The 2 shelters in the park can be reserved. www.belleplainefestival.com.

FYI May 7th - 10th 2020 is the annual BIG KANSAS ROAD TRIP (formally known as Kansas Sampler) This year it showcases these counties – Brown, Doniphan & Nemaha. May 14th -17th Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park and Scott City Lake Campground. This is a Friendship Campout. Randall Weller (Prairie Winnies) and Ruth Ann Wedel (Kansas Twisters) will Host. The plans are to have a guided Ranger tour of the area and hear the history of the Badlands. All Campsites may be reserved and all have Elec. and Water. June 25th - 28th Ellinwood. Brad and Alice Elkins will Host. Campground in Stafford (Pine Haven Retreat RV Park) accepts military passes and Good Sam. Rate is reasonable for electricity and water. 18 sites and meeting room for 75 for length of stay. Ellinwood has an “Interesting guided tour of historic tunnels and underground commercial spaces built by German settlers in the 1800s to service cowboys and settlers on the Santa Fe Trail as well as railroaders.” There is a Historic Wolf Hotel that has a bar and offers entertainment, antique/thrift stores, Oil and Gas Museum and Quivera Nature Reserve/Coronado Quivira Heights Museum, and . Stafford has a mom and pop pizza place that is supposed to be really good.

July 24th - 26th Meade, KS. Originally carved out of the Turkey Track Ranch in 1927, Meade State Park rests in the High Plains of southwest Kansas. August 21st - 23rd Junction City, KS: – Farnum Creek, a COE lake. A stopover camp for those heading to the FMCA rally in Lincoln, Nebraska and a weekend for those that are not continuing on to Lincoln. Lots to see in nearby Abilene and Manhattan. August 26-29 Summer FMCA rally: FMCA RV Club 102nd International Convention & RV Expo at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. September 19th is the Arts and Crafts Fair in Hillsboro – you may want to stop on your way home from Shawnee. Local food and hometown hospitality add flavor to this already spectacular event.
