The recommendations of the committees will be presented to the delegates at the upcoming State Grange Convention in June. Committees who met this year were: Agriculture, Conservation & Ecology, Education, Health Care, Fish & Wildlife, Good of the Order, State and National Issues, Transportation/Taxation and Veterans Issues. Committee members are appointed annually by the State Grange Master. Persons interested in serving on a standing committee should contact the State Master.

Central Grange #831 put on its annual Fireman's Appreciation Night Spaghetti feed Saturday night, May 5.

In addition to awards for the fire stations of District #9 (below), Central Grange awarded a $1000 scholarship to Riley Dymond, grandson of Joyce Dymond Rose Valley Grange held a fundraiser on May 5 & 6, by (right). serving coffee to travelers stopping at the Rest Stop on I-5 Northbound. This event is held to promote traveling safety by preventing accidents due to tired travelers. These coffee rest stops, offer an opportunity to get out of the car, use the restroom, stretch your legs, have a cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa, and a cookie, which helps travelers stay awake during their long trips. Donations to the Grange are accepted, but not requested, and the Grange does quite well through this event. Pictured: Marnie Blankenship
