ABOUT THE ARTISTS Jacqueline Porter holds an honours degree in Music Performance and a Bachelor of Arts (Italian) from the University of Melbourne and was the recipient of the 2010 Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust Scholarship. Equally at home on the operatic stage and the concert platform, Jacqueline appears regularly with Australia’s major symphony orchestras and choral societies and her recitals and concerts are frequently broadcast on ABC Classic FM She has worked with celebrated conductors including Sir Neville Marriner, Sir Andrew Davis and Vladimir Ashkenazy. Her opera roles include Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro) for Victorian Opera and Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) for State Opera South Australia.

In 2016 Jacqueline's engagements have included Mozart's Litany of the Blessed Sacrament (Sydney Symphony Orchestra), Fauré Requiem (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra), Purcell’s King Arthur (Brisbane Baroque), St. Matthew Passion (Melbourne Bach Choir), Jephtha (The Vow ) (Handel in the Theatre) and Judas Maccabeus (Heidelberg Choral Society). Jacqueline has also recently performed Mahler's Symphony No. 4 with both Melbourne Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Andrew Davis and Adelaide Symphony Orchestra; Beethoven’s Mass in C also for Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Haydn's Nelson Mass and Mozart's Vespers at the Woodend Winter Arts Festival.

In 2017 Jacqueline will return to the MSO (Exsultate Jubilate, Thaïs and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9) and ASO (A Night in Vienna).

Aura Go has been described as 'a captivating performer, possessing great depth and exquisite sensitivity' (The Scotsman) and is widely recognized for her compelling performances and innovative programming. She has been soloist with many of Australia's professional orchestras and has appeared at international music festivals including the Melbourne International Arts Festival, MSO Metropolis New Music Festival, Bari International Chamber Music Festival, Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival and the Edinburgh Festival. Recent seasons have included highly praised performances of Mozart and Beethoven concertos with the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria as well as solo and chamber recitals in Denmark, , Poland, Italy, Australia and the USA. As a member of the Kawabata-Go Piano Duo with Tomoe Kawabata, Aura has released her first CD, Five Rocks in a Japanese Garden, which features first recordings of works for two pianos and piano duet by five prolific Japanese composers.

A keen advocate of new music, Aura has presented numerous premieres, including the first Australian performances of the first and second piano concertos of Einojuhani Rautavaara with the Melbourne and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras and solo piano works of Esa-Pekka Salonen, Pehr Nordgren and Galina Ustvolskaya, among others. She has given first performances of works by Kate Neal, Gordon Kerry, Garth Neustadter and James Rushford, with upcoming commissions from composers Tiina Myllärinen and Andrew Ford in 2017. Her recent project as conductor/pianist for the world premiere of Kate Neal’s large-scale multidisciplinary work Semaphore was awarded Best Instrumental Performance at the 2016 Australian Art Music Awards.

Aura completed her early musical training in Australia at the Victorian College of the Arts, followed by performance studies at the Australian National Academy of Music. In 2011 she attained her Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music, and is now undertaking doctoral studies at the in . Her teachers have included Professor Max Cooke (Australia), Peter Frankl (USA) and Erik T. Tawaststjerna (Finland).
