EXHIBIT NUMBERS No Exhibit will be admitted to the ring without an exhibit number clearly displayed on either the pony or the handler and an exhibit will not be admitted to the ring if showing an incorrect exhibit number. There will be no exceptions and classes will not be held for exhibits with the wrong information.

STABLE & TACK ROOM BONDS Stable & tack room bonds MUST be paid prior to the show. If you do not have a cheque book, stable and tack rooms bonds may be charged to your credit card (non-refundable 2% fee will apply to credit card transactions to cover our merchant costs). Money Order Payments WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bonds paid via Credit Card will be reimbursed within 30 days after the show, and, only after SIEC have confirmed our “failed stables” listing. Payments made by Credit Card will be reimbursed to the card originally used to pay for the stable bond.

Note: under no circumstances will stable/tack rooms be unlocked/opened if the bond payment has not been paid. The stable warden WILL NOT accept bond payments when you arrive.

ADDITIONAL STABLE BEDDING/SHAVINGS If not purchased prior to the show, additional Bedding will only be available for purchase during the advertised Show Office trading times. There will be no exceptions and it will be the responsibility of the Exhibitor to ensure they have supplied or ordered enough bedding if arriving outside of these times. Additional bedding may be purchased by payment in advance at the Show Office, followed by a receipt that will be given to the exhibitor to take to the Stable Warden who will then supply the bedding with the assistance of the exhibitor. Bedding will NOT be supplied prior to payment, please do not request this as refusal may offend.

Un-used/un-opened bedding that has been paid for must be taken with you. There will be no refunds for ordered bedding that is not used.

ALLOCATION OF STABLES Stables will not be allocated to /ponies that are not entered for the show under any circumstances

**NATIVE PONY CLASSES** Native Pony classes are open to Shetland Ponies, Australian Ponies, Purebred Welsh, Connemara Ponies, New Forest Ponies, Dartmoor Ponies, Highland Ponies, Fell & Haflingers

Presentation rules to any class with “Native” in the class description will be STRICTLY enforced and will apply to all classes that refer to “Native”. A scrutineer will approve ponies by giving them a “dot” applied to the exhibit number. Ponies to be found in breach of the rules will be turned away with no refund.

Note: Australian Ponies may be presented as per the normal standard but must comply with rule 6 & 7 or where mentioned.

1. Body: No pony may show signs of a full body clip, Ponies must be in natural coat. 2. Legs: Ponies must have visible feather. Hooves may be either blackened or clear lackered or left natural. There may be no visible additional leg colouring (eg. Blackened legs and hocks will not be accepted). 3. Mane: Manes may be pulled for neatness but still exhibit a “natural” appearance. Small paths are permitted. 4. Tail: Tails must exhibit a natural appearance. Docks may be neatened but still be of natural appearance and the end of the tail must exhibit a “natural” line and must not be banged straight. False tails are permitted. 5. Head: Ears must still have hair but may be trimmed for neatness. Removal of whiskers is optional. 6. Makeup: Minimal makeup can be applied to enhance the facial features only. Gloss black makeup will not be permitted. 7. Tack: Tack/Gear must be that of a native workmanlike appearance similar to that of a Hunter Pony class. must have either a plain or plaited leather browband (NO Bling or Rosettes). choice is optional.

The risks involved may result in personal injury including death. By signing this entry form (form A), you acknowledge, agree, and understand that participation in the recreational services provided by the National Pony of the Year Show Inc. may involve risk. You agree to undertake any such risk voluntarily and at your own risk. Australian Champion of Champions In-hand Final Qualifying Information

Please be advised that individual invitations will not be posted out for the 2020 Final.

Please be reminded that you do not need to qualify to enter the National Pony of the Year Show. It is ONLY ‘The Bamborough Australian Champion of Champions In-Hand Final’ that requires a qualifying performance.

1. WHAT IS THE QUALIFYING PERIOD FOR ‘THE BAMBOROUGH’ AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS IN-HAND FINAL? Qualifications must be gained during the period of 1st January 2019 – 31st December 2019.

2. WHICH BREEDS ARE INCLUDED IN THE EVENT? , Australian Ponies, APSB Partbreds, APSB Riding Ponies, Welsh, Part Welsh, Australian Saddle Ponies, Riding Ponies (Show Pony, Show Hunter & Overheight), Arabian Ponies, Arabian Riding Ponies, Connemara, Fell, Dartmoor, New Forest, Highland, Gypsy Cobs & Haflinger.

3. HOW IS ‘THE BAMBOROUGH’ JUDGED? Breeds are initially split into heats based on breed with a number of equal placed finalists selected for the Final. The event is judged by 3 judges who individually judge certain heats and all 3 judges come together for the judging of the final. A top 10 is chosen from all finalists of which the Winner and Runner-Up are chosen. All entrants will receive a rosette on the day.

4. HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE QUALIFIED AND HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR ‘THE BAMBOROUGH’? To be eligible for the event, Qualification must be gained at a qualifying show in Australia or NZ. The qualification must be relevent for the breed heat that you want to enter. International performances (except NZ) will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The pony must also be entered for a class at the 2020 NPOTY Show.

5. CAN I ENTER MULTIPLE HEATS IF MY PONY QUALIFIES FOR MORE THAN 1 BREED SECTION? No, the pony may be entered in one heat only, that heat being the heat that the owner feels their pony is best suited.

6. WHICH SHOWS ARE QUALIFIERS FOR ‘THE BAMBOROUGH’ & ARE THE SHOWS GRADED? Royal Shows and any Show run by the National Pony of the Year Show Inc, WPCS of Australia Inc, Australian Saddle Pony Association, Society of Australia, Riding Pony Stud Book Society Ltd and the Australian Pony Stud Book Society, the Shetland Pony Society of Australia Inc and Shows run by the Royal A & P Society (NZ), Pony Breeders Society of NZ Inc, The New Zealand Shetland Pony Breeders Society Inc, NZ Riding Pony Society and the WPCS of NZ Inc. and any other show where mentioned below. Shows are graded as follows;

13. TREATMENT OF ANIMALS & DRUG TESTING NOTICE RE HENDRA VIRUS VACCINATION 13.1 No Exhibitor shall engage or be knowingly involved in cruelty to a horse. 14. JUDGES

14.1 Judges listed in NPOTYS inc schedules are correct at the time of printing. However, it should be realised that

situations can change. Therefore, if a judge whose name appears in this schedule cannot meet their

commitment, the NPOTYS inc. reserves the right to substitute a judge and will make all efforts advertise the

change through various reasonable outlets. Refund of entries will not be applied in this situation unless a proven & written conflict of interest will occur between the substituted judge and an exhibitor. Please be

advised that should this situation arise, the Committee may contact all parties involved should they see fit.

14.2 A judges conduct and behavior should be beyond reproach and it will be assumed that all judges will show

propriety and integrity and be unbiased and fair in their decisions.

14.3 While conducting a ring, the judge should take into consideration, the safety of competitors, spectators, stewards and marshals. Cowra NSW

14.4 A judge must not accept hospitality from an exhibitor during an event or within 8 weeks of the date of the show. 14.5 Once a class has been judged, it shall not be re-judged.

14.6 A judge must not refer to a show catalogue or steward’s list either before or during judging, nor can a judge be

PAYMENT PLAN AGREEMENT REQUEST

1. The National Pony of the Year Show Inc reserves the right to refuse a Payment Plan Agreement Request. Previous payment issues etc will may be taken into consideration when approving/accepting a Payment Plan Request. 2. Payments can be made in 5 installments as per the dates below. The dates are not negotiable. ALL Monies (including any stable/tack room bonds) must be paid in full by the advertised closing date of entry (19/2/19). Therefore, if you would like to apply for a Payment Plan, please send in your entries early should you wish to utilize the dates below. Please do not send in your entries at the last minute and request a payment plan as the request will be refused. There will be NO exceptions. 3. The Payment Plan will not be altered under any circumstances. 4. The first payment must be at least 50% of the total entry fees (less the $40.00 admin fee) + the $40.00 admin fee (eg. Total Entry Fees less Admin Fee = $300.00, then first payment is $190.00 being 50%+$40.00 admin). Remaining payments can be at the amount of the Exhibitors choosing. 5. The Exhibitor must ensure the funds are available on the dates you have selected for funds to be charged. Please keep a copy of this form as a reminder to ensure the funds are available on the relevant dates. 6. The Credit Card charged will be the card nominated on Form A. 7. The preferred method of payment is Credit Card but If you wish to pay by cheque or EFT, please contact us to discuss. 8. There will be no refunds after the closing date of entry (19/2/19) under any circumstances. Cancelled entries prior to the closing date of entry will be eligible for a refund less the $40.00 admin fee and any Credit Card surcharges for amounts already charged. 9. Failure to comply with any of the above will result in future Payment Plan requests being declined.
