4 CLYDEBANK FC OFFICIAL MATCH PROGRAMME SEASON 2012 / 2013 CLYDEBANK FC OFFICIAL MATCH PROGRAMME SEASON 2012 / 2013 33 ‘I won’t even attempt to pick any players out as it was just a great team performance.’

Last week our lads gave us not only a great result but also a superb performance. It was one of our best, if not the best this season! I wasn’t just pleased with the fact that we scored 3 really well creat- ed goals and kept a clean sheet against a Rob Roy team full of quality and experience but I was really delighted with the style of football produced by our boys.

It was the type of performance that makes all the effort and hard work put in behind the scenes by everyone very worthwhile. I won’t even attempt to pick any players out as it was just a great team performance. The challenge now for the players will be to re-produce that type of stuff on a more regular basis. We should also remember that although we have a lot of promising young players we are still lacking a wee bit of experience and that can sometimes lead to areas of inconsistencies in our play.

Since our last home game we’ve lost Frank Lynch from our backroom team as he’s moved into the hot seat once again at North Ayrshire club Beith. I was sad to see Stevie Easton removed from the managerial role there but I’m sure most of you would join me in wishing Frank the best of luck and I personally would like to thank him again for doing an extremely good job when he was at our club.

Today we welcome Pollok to Holm Park. The South side club are yet another team in good form therefore this certainly won’t be easy. It is common knowledge that John Richardson and his staff had a difficult job when they took over and I know they will have been working extremely hard be- hind the scenes to get them back as a force to be reckoned with. Their recent batch of results sug- gests they are heading in the right direction. We will have to produce another good display if we are to grab another three points. Can I ask you once again to give our players as much vocal backing as possible in order to help them achieve our third win on the trot?

Onwards & upwards. Billy McGhie.
