DiamondX® Metal Cutting & Grinding Products
® is a revolutionary new generation of tools for the metal-working industry. DiamondX® uses a unique technology that allows a high concentration of diamonds to be solidly bonded to a steel surface for cutting and grinding metal. The results provide a tool life many times longer than standard abrasives such as aluminum oxide, zirconia alumina, ceramic, or silicon carbide.
It’s time to leave abrasives in the past. • The CUT/GRIND-DXB0125 Type 1 wheels are designed to replace 1/8 “ thick Type 1 and Type 27 abrasive wheels for cutting, grinding or a combination of both (not for pipeline applications). Cuts and grinds forgings, metal pipe, and plate, sectional tubing, bar steel, ductile iron, etc. Sizes are 4”, 4.5”, 5”, 6”, 7”and 9”. o o Thickness is .137”. o 5/8” arbor on 4” disc and 7/8” on others. o 5/8” – 11 hub available on request. • The FOUNDRY-DXA2725 Type 27 wheels are designed for removal of feeder gates and risers, as well as fettling excess material from castings. It will make more cuts than 20, 30, 50 or more abrasive discs, depending on the application. The labor cost savings from the abrasive wheel changeovers alone will offset the cost of the DiamondX® Cutter. • Thanks to the high-quality design of steel and diamonds, the DiamondX® Cutter is much more durable than abrasive discs. It will not break or shatter when used with water and other coolants
and lubricants and if the wheel were to drop to the floor, it is much more resistant to shock damage. o Available as 2 and 3 in. with 3/8 -1/4 arbor o 4 in. with 5/8 – 3/8 arbor o 4.5, 5, 6 and 9 in. with 7/8 arbor. o 7 in. with DIA – 7/8 – 5/8 arbor. o Grit size is 40/50.

For use on portable high speed saws, stationary metal cutoff saws and foundry swing frame machines.
