Sporting Career Simon Patmore’s sporting career started in 2009 at a sporting talent camp where he was approached by a highly-qualified sprint coach. 18 months later, he was crowned the 100m T46 Commonwealth Games Champion in 2010. Then in 2012, he earned a bronze medal at the London in the 200m T46 event.

In 2014, Simon made the change to and now represents Australia on the World Para- Snowboard tour.

Simon has received multiple medals throughout his snowboard career including two gold medals in the World Para-Snowboard competition, a silver medal at the Audi Quattro Winter Games; and another silver medal at the Dew Tour competition in Colorado.

At the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic Winter Games, Simon was crowned Snowboard-Cross Champion which broke a 16-year gold medal drought for Australia. He also became the first Australian Male Athlete to medal at both the Summer and . His name is written in the history books as the first Paralympic Snowboard-Cross champion in the UL category and the first Para-Snowboard Gold medalist for Australia.
