An experienced international development practitioner and consultant, specialised in multi-disciplinary, multi-sector capacity development and disaster risk management projects. Familiar with all aspects of risk management from risk assessment, preparedness, relief, recovery to resilience/mitigation/adaptation and cross-cutting perspectives especially gender, diversity and environment in a variety of crisis and post-crisis settings. Professional country/regional experiences cover Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East and the Pacific.

2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017 Co-facilitator / Course Director / Lecturer for MSB’s international DRM course (DR4) The main objective of the international course, 'Overview Course on Disaster Risk Reduction, Response (Relief and Recovery) and Resilience (DR4) is to promote proactive and inter-disciplinary approaches to reducing disaster risks and building resilience, seeking to establish a common language and understanding among humanitarian and development practitioners. The course is offered annually and participants include MSB’s field staff and humanitarian professionals from partner organisations (UN agencies, IFRC, NGOs). Gender, diversity and environment are cross-cutting elements in the course. Conducted a Desk Review of the DR4 course objectives, target group, content, structure and methodologies in 2014, and presented findings at an external workshop attended by MSB, UNICEF and UNDP representatives.
