The Highline Schools Foundation has streamlined our scholarship application process. You can use one application to submit from one (1) to six (6) scholarship applications.

Scholarships Available in 2016

 The -Tacoma International Airport (STIA) Scholarship is a needs-based scholarship funded through the annual the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Scholarship charity golf tournament. Students who are motivated to pursue a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) education and career are encouraged to apply for a STIA scholarship. Two (2) $20,000 scholarships will be awarded toward university/college education and one (1) $10,000 scholarship will be awarded toward a vocational or community college education. All scholarships are distributed over a 2-year period.  The Scholarship is based on financial need, academic merit, achievement, and the student’s future goals. Four (4) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2016 — two designated for Raisbeck Aviation High School students. Scholarship to be awarded to the recipients during their first year of study at a 2 or 4-year institution.  The CM Garrity Scholarship was established in 2015 thanks to the generosity of Highline High School Alumnus CM Garrity. This is the only 4-year scholarship opportunity provided by Highline Schools Foundation. Two (2) $20,000 scholarships ($5,000 per year for 4 years) to be awarded to one female and one male graduating student attending a 4-year institution.  New in 2016, seniors in have a new scholarship available to them thanks to The Tin Room and their patrons. The TinShip Scholarship is intended for graduates who want to pursue a trade school, for careers in mechanics, building, machinery or craftsmanship. One (1) $6,000 scholarship awarded to one graduating student attending an accredited Trade School.  The Light and Love Scholarship was established in 2014 to honor the memory of Dominick Pappas and is designed to honor an individual who exemplifies genuine kindness to adults and peers in all endeavors. One (1) $1,000 scholarship awarded to one graduating student attending a 2 or 4-year institution who exemplifies genuine kindness to adults and peers in all endeavors.  The Bill Maynard Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of the late Bill Maynard, a beloved figure in the Highline School District. Bill was the coordinator of the Steps to Success program, and he cared deeply for the students that he worked with. One (1) $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one student in Highline Public Schools pursuing a voc-tech education and career.

Below is a list of questions you will be asked on the scholarship application, including the essays you will be asked to write and submit. Essays must be submitted with your application. The other documents requested (Letters of Recommendation, High School transcript and SAT Scores) may be submitted with your application using the online application form, or submitted later.

The majority of the questions are required (each question marked with a red *). We realize that this proof may include a copy of our most recently filed U.S. Income Tax Return.  We realize that, if asked and proof is not furnished, the student applicant may not receive any scholarship fund monies.
