uAlmond Blossom Festival: (The last weekend of February) While this is a Ripon event in a quaint community just six miles to the south, it is hard for a Manteca resident not to be caught up in the 56th annual event. Manteca — along with Ripon and Escalon — is a major almond-growing region. The last several weeks of February fill the air with the sweet scent of almond blossoms followed by a week where the ground in over 20,000 acres appear as if it has been snowing as the blossoms float to earth.
