Jordan Rose & The Rose Family. Scope of Project

• Randolph Rose Collection to design and cast a new custom version of RG1320 “Dance with Me” 4 kids holding hands bronze sculpture set.

• Randolph Rose Collection will customize one boy and one girl from the design to have new faces and heads. These new facial characteristics will be inspired from our design RG1483 “Celebrate Diversity” of which we will use the African American Boy and Asian American Girl as models for the design. Scope of Project • Randolph Rose Collection will create all original life-size clay molds. Throughout the mold making process, we will email updates of the clay molds in progress, including different angles of the designs, for your review.

• We will be advised by client of any changes, alterations or corrections to the clay molds prior to . We will proceed to bronze casting only after client’s written approval.

• Randolph Rose Collection will cast the sculpture in bronze utilizing the “lost-wax” casting method. Bronze is an extremely durable metal used for artwork and is designed to be placed outside all year round. Scope of Project Continued

• Patina & Wax: We recommend an all classic brown, traditional bronze patina. Coats of wax will be applied to protect and seal the finished sculptures.

• Mounting Brackets: Randolph Rose Collection will design mounting brackets under the base of each sculpture, which will allow it to be anchored for permanent installation.

• Installation: We will include mounting brackets and supply the threaded bolts for installation. A schematic of the bolt hole placement will be sent prior to shipping. Installation entails simply drilling holes in a concrete pad, picking up the sculptures, screwing in the bolts, filling holes with contractors epoxy and anchoring down. Once cured it is permanent and secure. We can consult with your maintenance staff prior to installation.

• Bronze Plaque: Custom bronze plaque can be designed to complement the sculpture. Price to be determined after more in depth consultation with respect to size, shape, wording, borders and custom image options. Terms

THE RUBBER MOLD: Our artists create an original sculpture out of wax or clay. The sculpture is coated with a silicone rubber molding material that makes two rubber molds. A fiberglass outer shell is added to the back of each mold so it retains its shape and rigidity during subsequent uses.

THE WAX POSITIVE: Once the molds are done, the insides are coated with layers of wax. The halves are then bound together and wax poured inside to complete the wax image being created. Once the wax has cooled, the mold is peeled away, yielding a wax image (“the wax positive”) duplicating the original sculpture.

GATING: The next step, “gating”, is the application of a series of tubes and funnels that allow the molten bronze to flow through to the bottom of the ceramic shell and the hot gases to escape at the same time.

CERAMIC SHELL CASTING: After the gating is completed each wax form is dipped in a liquid ceramic silica sand compound so it is completely coated inside and out.

LOST WAX: Once the ceramic shells have dried thoroughly the pieces are placed into an autoclave and the wax is melted out (“lost wax”), to be reclaimed and used again. The shells are then cured in a kiln so they will withstand the temperature of the molten bronze being poured into them.

THE POUR: Bronze ingots are melted to a temperature of approximately 2000°F and poured into the cured ceramic shells. As the sculpture cools, the ceramic shell begins to pop away from the bronze. This shell will be completely broken away.

SANDBLASTING: The casting is then sandblasted in preparation for metal finishing.

TEXTURING: Any texturing that was lost or damaged in the casting or process is recreated. The sculpture is then polished in preparation for application of the patina.

PATINAS: Colors, patterns and textures obtained in the patina process are achieved through a combined application of chemicals and heat, and sealed with lacquer and waxes. FROM INSPIRATION TO REALITY
