k c a B Office Bearers 2015/2016 Hon. President : Charles R Gallacher Hon. Vice President : Stuart Urquhart Hon. Treasurer : George Dingwall National Secretary : Thomas McKeown A Word From The President A warm welcome on our return to the National Stadium Hampden Park for this year's Innovatus Sports Scottish Amateur Cup Final. Our thanks to Queens Park FC and Hampden Park Ltd for hosting the first final here since 2010. I am sure everyone will appreciate the excellent facilities here and have a great day.
A special mention to Cameron and James of Innovatus Sports for their sponsorship of the Scottish Amateur Cup this season and we are grateful to them both and the company for their generous support in the later stages of the campaign.
My congratulations to Leven United AFC and Colville Park AFC on reaching the final. It takes committment, ability and endurance to battle through to the final.
Our Match Officials are an experienced quartet and I am confident that Kevin Nolan and his colleagues will do a first class job, Good Luck and I hope you all enjoy the occasion.
The competition requires a great deal of organisation and I would like to thank the Technical Adviser Stephen McLaughlin, our Referee Coordinators Iain Cowden and Gordon Farmer along with National Secretary Thomas McKeown and Administrative Assistant Mary Jardine, all our Match Secretaries across the country and of course a multitude of club officials.
All we need now is for our two finalists to give us their best and serve up a great Final. Thank you for coming to Hampden Park today whether you are here to cheer on your favourites or just to watch a good game of football. The SAFA hopes that you will have a memorable day.
Good luck to the players and the club officials and may the best team win!

As always these Finals do not just happen as it would not be possible without the support, help and hard work of all the Clubs, Association / League Match Secretaries and Referees to them all my heartfelt thanks.
To my fellow Referee Coordinator Gordon Farmer, the office staff Thomas McKeown (National Secretary), Mary Jardine (Administrive Assistant) for all their hard work and support throughout the competition and especially to Stephen McLaughlin the Technical Adviser who collates and organises the competition from round 1 to the Final including updates on the website and social media every weekend keeping everyone informed.

Originally founded as Colvilles AFC in 1968, team selection was initially restricted to workers from Ravenscraig and other local steelworks in the Motherwell area. Even operating in the Fifth Division of the LanarkshireAFAtheyfoundlifedifficult,andconsequentlyin1970theclubwasrebrandedasColvillePark AFC, and opened up to a broader selection of players. (The Club is now part of the excellent sports and social complex at Colville Park Country Club who are, of course, sponsors of the West of Scotland Amateur Cup.)
Colville Park AFC remained members of the LAFA for some 20 years going on to win several domestic honours with that Association. The major achievement of that era was winning the Scottish Amateur Cup in season 1975/6.
In season 1990/91, Colville Park moved to the Central Scottish AFL, and although it took a little while to adapt,arenowwell-establishedinthePremierDivisionofthatLeague,consideredbymanytobethemost competitive in amateur football in Scotland.
At National level, Colville Park has an excellent track record of doing well, reaching the semi-final stage oftheScottishAmateurCup6timesinthelast7seasons,andin3consecutivefinalsin2012/13/14. Having lost out in all 3 finals (albeit on penalties on two occasions), they are anxious to go one better this time!
In the West of Scotland Cup they also have a good track record having reached the semi-finals in 2005/6 and the final in 2009/10 when they narrowly lost out to local rivals Harestanes. They were beaten finalists again in 2011/12, losing out on penalties to Dumbarton Academy but eventually won the trophy in 2013 by beating Hurlford Thistle 2 – 0 in a closely-contested final at New Douglas Park, Hamilton. Last season they also lost out 1 – 2 to Central Scottish rivals Greenock HSFP in another closely-contested final.
Colville Park’s management structure has changed this season with Michael Kennedy taking over the managerial reins from the experienced campaigner Gerry Hamilton, although Gerry is still involved in the background and carries out a number of vital roles in the club. Michael has a wealth of experience as a player and former Internationalist, and he has been ably-supported by Steven Boyack whose senior experience and coaching abilities have added greatly to the strength of the new management team. Backroom support is also provided by Scott Duncan, Willie Hutton, Michael McGarry, Barry “Huck” Phinn, Glen Carroll (Physio), Andy Williamson (Secretary), Joe Walker (Treasurer and Director of Football), John Fallon, Reg Brown and Ricky Peebles.
