2017 Potomac River Boat Poker Run Saturday, June 10, 2017

The Poker Run is a fun day for all involved. It's not a race, rather a great occasion to enjoy food, friends, the river and a chance to win some great prizes, all for a worthy cause.. Proceeds from the Run will benefit Colby's Ride, founded in honor of 11-year old Colby Smith, who died in a biking accident on October 11, 2015. The foundation is committed to providing bicycles and helmets for underprivileged children in our community. Come out and show your support!

The entry fee is for up to two people and includes two breakfasts (one per person), two lunches (one per person), two drink tickets (one per person) two custom Tim's t-shirts, freebies, entertainment, door prizes, AND ONE HAND OF CARDS

At each of the five stops you'll receive one playing card, sealed in an envelope. All envelopes are opened at the 5th stop. At that point, the best hand wins!

FIRST PLACE: $500 SECOND PLACE: $300 THIRD PLACE: $200

Registration begins at 8:00am. Breakfast starts at 8:30. Captain's meeting is 9:00am. Final details of the run, including all stops, will be explained. Start time of the run is 10:00am.

st 1 stop: TIM'S IN DUMFRIES. You'll have breakfast, receive your t-shirts, wristbands and your first card.

nd 2 stop: RICK'S ON THE RIVER drinks and you'll receive your 2nd card

rd 3 stop: GILLIGAN'S for lunch and your 3rd card

th 4 stop: GOOSE BAY you'll receive your 4th card

th 5 stop:TIM'S II AT FAIRVIEW You'll receive your 5th card. Awarding of all prizes takes place at Tim's II

GUIDELINES:

MANDATORY Captain's Meeting and final registration at Tim’s Rivershore in Dumfries, Saturday morning 9 am. Pace Boat: We will be using a pace boat that boaters will be able to follow so that they do not get lost or fall too far behind. Safety: Each Captain is required to comply with all U.S. Coast Guard safety regulations for safe boating. All captains are required to have their boater's safety course license and up to date insurance. CAPTAIN'S INITIALS ______Rain Date: It is assumed the event will take place rain or shine; in the event of severe or hazardous weather conditions, organizers will discuss options at the captain's meeting.

THIS IS NOT A RACE!!! This is a poker run. It is understood that you and any passengers and participants enter this poker run at your own risk.

The Potomac River Poker Run has the right to disallow any boat that does not meet safety requirements. All boats MUST be equipped with all required safety equipment.

The Potomac River Poker Run, Tim’s Rivershore Restaurant and Crabhouse, Crabmandoo Watersports, Tim’s II at Fairview, BMT Corporation, and all employees, all sponsors and any/all representatives associated with this Poker Run are not responsible for any damages and/or personal injury incurred during the event.
