Committee Discussion in changing terms defined in white paper.
Continuing competence in physical therapy is the lifelong process of maintaining and formally documenting competence through ongoing self-assessment, development, and implementation of a personal learning plan, and subsequent reassessment.
Evidence based practice is the integration of best research evidence with clinical expertise and patient values. This definition states that clinical decision-making should be based on three components: 1. Best Research Evidence 2. Clinical Expertise 3. Patient Values and Preferences
Item 7- Revision To Course Review Application (For Discussion)
Discussion on changing certain details in the course review application to make it more stream lined. Committee wants to add email blank so all communication can be electronic going forward. Committee wants to add level of expertise blank, so they know who the course is geared towards. Committee has also agreed to better detail the instructions on what they need and want submitted with the application.
