Nov. 19, 2016 • Attendance: 18,699 POSTGAME NOTES -Appalachian State featured a pair of running backs over 100 yards on the day, including Marcus Cox’s 153 yards and three touchdowns on the way to becoming the Mountaineers' all-time leading rusher. Jalin Moore added 135 yards of his own, while quarterback Taylor Lamb added 92 yards on the ground to go along with his 208 passing yards. -Appalachian State struck first on Cox’s first touchdown of the day, followed by ULM’s answering drive resulting in a Craig Ford field goal. The Mountaineers quickly answered back with a 60 yard touchdown pass and led 14-3 at the end of one. -The teams traded touchdowns in the second quarter, with Appalachian State adding to its lead on a three-yard touchdown pass on fourth and goal before the Warhawks responded with Caleb Evans’ four yard touchdown run towards the end of the half. -Out of the halftime break, Appalachian State rattled off a pair of third quarter rushing touch- downs – first from five yards out by Cox before a 35 yard score from Lamb. -ULM’s Austin Vaughn scored from 16 yards out seconds into the fourth quarter to pull the War- hawks closer but Cox ended the night with a 25 yard touchdown run to set the all-time mark. -ULM finished with 361 total offensive yards, including 225 yards on the ground.
