It clarifies a 1990 law that set guidelines for regulating garage door openers. Service or repair of an automatic garage door opening system is prohibited in residential buildings that have automatic reversing systems that fail to meet state standards. The law also requires a warning label to be attached to the door opening system if it does not pass an on-site test.
