2019-20 Fun...Fitness...Challenges...Leadership
Schools across the province this year have been providing their students with new, fun activities through their ‘Try Day’ programs. Students also had the opportunity to contribute to the organization and leadership of Try Day. New, non-traditional sports and physical activities motivate students and help them enjoy participating and thus increase their level of fitness. New fitness equipment, inclusive games of low organization (challenging rope climbs, exciting outdoor adventures, prep games for other sports) and all activities engaged students of all grades and skill levels. Once again, thanks to the Ministry of Education as over 125 secondary schools received up to $700 to conduct these special days. School programs can adapt to demographic changes, provide more inclusive programs, and enable as many students as possible to be active. Watch the OFSAA website for news of future grants!
