Leonardo DiCaprio Signs Three-Year Deal with Paramount Pictures

LOS ANGELES – Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way Productions, signs a three-year contract with Paramount Pictures on April 7, 2016.

Appian Way Productions was previously signed with Warner Bros.; however, DiCaprio already has four upcoming with Paramount, which include The Devil in the White City, Sandcastle Empire and two untitled projects. The first untitled project is about the recent Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal, while the other will be a limited TV series about Charles Lindbergh.

Paramount CEO, Brad Grey stated, “Paramount is happy to be collaborating with Leo, such a great actor and producer of our time. Appian Way Productions has proved to be a successful company and we look forward to what lies ahead.”

Appian Way Productions has had major success recently with its The Revenant. Having been nominated for multiple Oscars, including Leonardo DiCaprio winning Best Actor, this film raised the bar for Appian Way.

Grey stated, “Paramount is ecstatic to work with DiCaprio, for many reasons including his outstanding talent and consistency with his films over the years.” Grey has had previous experience with DiCaprio after working on the film The Departed, which was their first project together.

DiCaprio has also expressed his excitement about the collaboration with Paramount. He couldn’t think of a better place for Appian Way to continue its success.

Appian Way Productions is a film production company that was founded by Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio in 2004. Appian Way has two upcoming films, and Robin Hood: Origins, both scheduled to be released in 2017. ### For More Information: Madeline Johnson Director of Media Relations 214-883-0490 [email protected]
