I am very humbled to be serving our community as your Mayor.

Many of you may already know a bit about me, but here is a little history of how I ended up in LeRoy. I grew up mostly in Bruno, SK. I took a job at PotashCorp, Lanigan, SK (now Nutrien) in 2006 and moved to LeRoy shortly after. My wife, Amy and I have four kids here and we are very proud to call LeRoy our home.

It did not take long living in our volunteer oriented community to want to get involved. In 2009, I joined our volunteer fire department and have since been involved with the LeRoy & District Recreation Board, Rink Board, and the Minor Hockey Board. I have also coached t-ball and hockey and have been broadening my municipal knowledge by attending town related conventions and training since joining council.

I have some pretty big shoes to fill in regard to our previous mayors and councillors, but I believe we have a good team, including our staff, to make the next four years a continued success. The last few years, we have witnessed some major upgrades to keep our town thriving and sustainable. This doesn’t happen in small communities without having great people and volunteers to call them home.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at [email protected].

My family and I hope everyone stays safe and healthy this holiday season and wishing you All the Best in 2021. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Kurt Schreiner, Mayor Town of LeRoy
