THIS YEAR Huntington cele brates its seventy-fifth anni versary. Incorporated in 1871 by railroad builder Collis P. Huntington as ter minus for expanding Chesa peake and Ohio railway, its consistent growth has estab lished it as West Virginia's largest city. Its diversified in dustries manufacture more than 350 products for world-wide markets. Among them are fin ished metals, chemicals, glass products and railroad equip ment. A third of a century older than the city in which it is located, Marshall College, West Virginia's second oldest college, is a major unit in the city's outstanding educational system. Also inspiration for Huntington's civic renown ore its advanced park development, modern retail shopping districts and beautiful residential areas.

A COMPRESSION load of 1,000,000 pounds can be exerted by "Big Bertha" giant testing machine in Chesapeake & Ohio's Huntington laboratories. Also in this city are Chesapeake & Ohio's locomotive shops, among the largest and most modernly equipped in the country.

ENJOYING a strategic geographical advantage, Huntington, in a comparatively short time, has become a metropolitan trading center. Wide streets, modern stores and office buildings serve its thriving commerce. Who says there is COAL in this shirir ? "
