Angela Espinoza News Editor news @theotherpress.ca

n February 25, Douglas College celebrated 2015’s Pink OShirt Day, also known as Anti-Bully Day across Canada. Both the New Westminster and David Lam campuses held events, with student ambassadors encouraging engagement from students. Pink paint hand-printing, photo opportunities, and pledges to end bullying were some of the ways students got involved on campuses. International Day events also ran from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the David Lam campus on February 24 and New Westminster campus on February 26. This year’s International Day events were the largest Douglas has seen yet, and featured musical performances from Douglas graduate and reggae artist Ezra Kwizera, “Afro- Cuban” group Kutapira, and Douglas’ Percussion Ensemble. Student booths provided various multicultural foods and interactive activities. Each booth was represented by different international students and student leaders attending Douglas. Indonesia, Colombia, Thailand, India, and Italy were just some of the many countries represented at this year’s International Day celebrations.
