¾ Restrictions: ƒ small memory, slower processors, small bandwidth ƒ these are cited often, but less and less relevant • modern mobiles are like PC-s 10 years ago • they are getting stronger every day ¾ Constraints: ƒ small overall size, small screen ƒ small, only numerical, or no keyboard at all ƒ different usage environments (on the street, on a train…) ƒ hands-free, one handed, or two handed usage ƒ most users are non-technical •systems should work immediately when switching on… • (just like a light switch) ¾ Technical restrictions may become less relevant, but… ¾ …the constraints are bound to stay!
