DIRECTIONS: This is made up of 80 rectangles/squares. We suggest cutting various sizes out of each fabric for variety. Cut the larger pieces first, cutting lengthwise (parallel to the selvedge). Place fabrics in desired positions. Cutting:

1 • Four 12 ⁄2" squares

1 1 • Eight 9 ⁄2"x15 ⁄2" rectangles

1 1 • Twelve 9 ⁄2"x12 ⁄2" rectangles

1 1 1 1 1 1 2. Rows 1 and 8: Using 6 ⁄2" pieces, stitch in following order: 3 ⁄2", 6 ⁄2", 9 ⁄2", 9 ⁄2" and 12 ⁄2". Make two. Stitch 1 both sections together matching 12 ⁄2" sides.

1 3. Rows 2 and 7: Using 9 ⁄2" pieces, stitch in same progression as Row 1.

1 4. Rows 3 and 6: Using 12 ⁄2" pieces, stitch as above.

1 5. Rows 4 and 5: Use 15 ⁄2" pieces, stitch as above. 6. Stitch rows together.

1 7. Cut ten 3 ⁄2" strips for border. Measure across width of pieced top. Piece border strips together as needed to make two borders. Stitch one to top and one to bottom. 8. Repeat for side borders. 9. Piece backing fabric as needed. 10. Make quilt sandwich and quilt as desired.

3 11. Cut nine 2 ⁄4" strips for binding. Stitch together as needed. Fold binding in half with wrong sides together and raw edges meeting. Using 1/4" seam allowance, stitch to right side of quilt sandwich. Turn to wrong side and whip stitch in place.
