Wenn wir da noch mal fröhliche 600.000 drauf packen, sind wir bei der Zahl derer, die ihre Single „I Like That“ auf YouTube gesehen und vermutlich - geliked haben. Wer da nach Vergleichbarem sucht, wird erst in der Liga von Taylor Ward oder den Jonas Brothers fündig. Die Band aus Orlando, Florida, deren Mitglieder heute zwischen 16 und 23 Jahre jung sind, hat bereits 2009 ihre erste EP veröffentlicht. Damals bildeten noch die Brüder Riley und Connor McDonough den Kern der Truppe, ihr Bruder Toby war einfach noch zu jung. Inzwischen aber sind sie als Trio mit zwei Begleitmusikern auf der Bühne über die Grenzen Amerikas hinaus zu Berühmtheiten geworden. War es 2011 noch reichlich smart von den Jungs, ihre Tournee „The Next Big Thing“ zu nennen, muss man inzwischen sagen: Recht gehabt. Als Before You Exit im April dieses Jahres beim „Macy’y iHeartRadio Rising Star“ antraten, stimmten über 7 Millionen Zuhörer für die Band – klarer Sieg. Und jetzt endlich kommt die Band, die schon Tourneen in Ostasien und Südamerika absolvierte, auch nach Europa. Zwar hat sie in der sechsten Staffel der US-Version von „The Voice“ in diesem Jahr „nur“ den Bronzeplatz belegt, reger Zulauf aber ist ihren mehrfach preisgekrönten Web-Formaten erhalten geblieben.
