Exciting Groups Good Life Group – August meeting will be Aug 6th from 1:30-3:30 for school packet and pizza, where is to be determined (you will need to RSVP to Maggie for location). It has been designed to assist people to think about what they want in their life, and break that down into management steps to start moving toward their vision of a good life. Ages 18 and older. Art Inspired Thursday 8/06 Paints & Pinot: "Crashing Ocean Wave" Acrylic Pour 6pm-8pm $45 Create a beautifully unique acrylic at this Paints & Pinot Session at Bambino’s where we will show you a step-by-step process on how to paint using the Acrylic Pour “Crashing Ocean Wave“ method on a 12 x 12 canvas. These are super fun and will make a great addition to your home décor or a great handmade gift from the heart! One glass of wine is included in the ticket price! Its namesake ran for 1,200 performances when it opened on Broadway in 1950, and won numerous Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Frank Loesser’s brassy, immortal score and witty book makes Guys and Dolls JR. a perennial crowd pleaser. Set in Damon Runyon’s New York City, Guys and Dolls JR. follows gambler, Nathan Detroit, as he tries to find the cash to set up the biggest crap game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck. Meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they’ve been engaged for 14 years without ever getting married. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown. Wall*E Enviro Flick Special Screening @ Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, Spfd, MO starting at 7 pm. Free Event Family Friendly Free Popcorn Recycling Education & Activities will take place before the screening. We are very excited to screen Wall*E. A family friendly movie that tackles the topic of waste for kids and adults alike. Wall*E was hand selected by our staff as an opportunity to briefly discuss the topic of recycling, our landfill and composting while enjoying a movie with friends and family in the park. The film will begin at sundown, but education, activities and popcorn will all be available prior to the screening. Events and Activities include: Compacted Can Count - guess and win! About the Film: In the distant future, a small waste-collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind. This movie portrays a unique and eccentric perspective on the topic of plastics in our global society and is presented for the purpose of stimulating discussion in our own community.
