OF SUCCESS EXCEL IN THE CLASSROOM In 2012-13, USF student-athletes combined to post a 3.3 grade point average, which was higher than the general student population. Six USF student-athletes earned Capital One All-Academic recognition while 41 student-athletes were honored by the West Coast Conference for academic excellence. WIN AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF COMPETITION Four USF teams and six individuals took part in NCAA Championship competition, while USF’s women’s cross country team captured its fourth straight WCC Championship. Of the many student-athletes who earned All-WCC honors, two were recognized as the conference’s player of the year while two others earned freshman of the year honors. BECOME LEADERS IN THE WORLD USF Athletics will produce graduates with the skills they need to succeed in whatever career path they choose. USF student-athletes will excel in setting and achieving goals throughout their college careers and beyond. ENGAGE IN THE COMMUNITY Through partnerships with the San Francisco RBI Program and Harper for Kids, USF student-athletes volunteered their time in mentoring over 5,000 children during the course of the year on the importance of education, goal setting and physical fitness. For six years in a row, USF has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
