That is hard to believe because the fine and performing arts have been a vital part of the University of ONebraska–Lincoln campus since the 1800s. However, it was the year 1993 when things really began to take off for us, and we became our own College of Fine and Performing Arts. In 2000 through the incredible generosity of Ms. Christina Hixson and the Lied Foundation Trust, we became the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts.
