3 Oregon (78), #1 UCLA (69) Saturday, March 16, 2013 2013 PAC-12 MEN’S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT Post-Game Notes GAME 10: #3 Oregon (78), #1 UCLA (69) Saturday, March 16, 2013 The Ducks improved to 3-0 in tournament championship tilts. Among teams who have participated in multiple tournament title games, Oregon is the only Conference team with a perfect record in the final. Oregon won the only regular season meeting between the teams, 76-67, on Jan. 19. The Ducks closed the first half on a 35-18 run to take a 41-32 lead into the break. The Bruins’ nine-point halftime deficit was their third largest of the season. They have dropped all four contests in which they have trailed by six or more points at the half. Conversely, Oregon has not lost this season when leading by eight points or more at the half. The teams combined for 19 first-half turnovers. The Ducks’ 11 turnovers in the opening frame are the most by a team in a half in the tournament. Oregon was 7-for-9 (.778) from beyond the arc in the first half, and UCLA connected on four of its five three-point field goal attempts in the second half (.800). Oregon’s bench outscored UCLA’s bench, 41-7. All five Bruin starters scored in double figures— Shabazz Muhammad (14 pts), Travis Wear (13 pts), Norman Powell (10 pts), Kyle Anderson (11 pts), Larry Drew (14 pts). Shabazz Muhammad scored 14 points to extend his double-digit scoring streak to 18 games, which is tied for the second-longest run in the Conference. He has scored in double figures in all but one game this season. Oregon’s Arsalan Kazemi (12 pts, 12 rebs) posted his ninth double-double of the season. His nine double-doubles are tied for the fifth-most in the Pac-12. Carlos Emory scored a game-high 20 points, one point shy of his career high (21 pts) against Oregon State on Feb. 28. Most Outstanding Player: Johnathan Loyd, Oregon— He is the first non-starter in the history of the tournament to earn the honor. All-Tournament Team Jahii Carson, Arizona State Jordan Adams, UCLA Larry Drew II, UCLA Arsalan Kazemi, Oregon Damyean Dotson, Oregon .
