#PGATOUR! INTRODUCTION Bryan Ahearn couldn’t believe his good luck. His employer, ParFour Marketing, has relied on him to de- liver insightful and successful marketing strategies for key clients as the “Voice of the Millennial.” As the largest living generation, many brands and media companies knew that millennials, and the following generation, Gen Z, were critical to their success in the future. Now, Bryan was given an assignment to develop a media and marketing plan for the PGA TOUR for the upcoming season that would engage Mil- lennials with the organization’s social media, viewership, and events. Bryan had been a golfer since high school, and played on his college team. His vacations and business trips often included finding a new golf course wherever he traveled. However, he knew mere enthusi- asm for the sport would not satisfy the PGA TOUR. He knew that success for this client would center on delivering results on five key performance indicators (KPI’s): o Increase attendance of 18-34-year-old fans on-site (at tournaments) ▪ The amount of time spent on-site ▪ The amount of money spent on-site o Convert casual fans who watch majors and other sports into PGA TOUR tournament at- tendees o Provide excitement for fans looking for social and memorable experiences o Increase the number of Millennials who watch PGA TOUR events on various social media platforms o Increase the number of Millennial followers on PGA TOUR social media PGA TOUR Bryan first reviewed the scope of his client. He learned that the PGA TOUR is headquartered in Ponte Vedra, FL, USA, and is the main organizer of the professional golf tournaments played primarily by male golfers in the United States and North America.

The dedication ceremonies featured a major announcement underscoring how significant the Sunshine Course and the Sunshine Through Golf program are to the Foundation’s ambitions. On June 6, the Foundation’s name officially changed to the Sunshine Through Golf Foundation. CDGA president Robert Berry unveiled the Foundation’s new logo: a smiling golf ball reflecting sun rays. • PRE-ROUND PRESS CONFERENCE 21 October 2019
PRE-ROUND PRESS CONFERENCE 21 October 2019 TIGER WOODS CHUAH CHOO CHIANG: Good morning. We would like to welcome with us on stage 81-time PGA TOUR winner, Tiger Woods. Tiger, welcome to the inaugural ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP. Your first time back to Japan since 2006. Please share opening comments about being here for the PGA TOUR's first official tournament. TIGER WOODS: Yeah, I haven't played here in a very long time, a place that I've thoroughly enjoyed over the years. First came here in '96 or '97 and had a chance to play with Jumbo and been coming here ever since. To be back here playing a tournament, it's going to be a lot of fun to be back here in front of fans that really understand and respect the game of golf. The game of golf is so strong here in Japan, and to have seen it grow like it has over 20-some odd years that I've been playing is very special and to be a part of it is even more special. Q. How's your knee and the stages that you went through to get your knee back to assuming 100 percent? TIGER WOODS: Yeah, I had it scoped, some cartilage issues. I was intending to actually get it done last year after the Hero World Challenge. Because I had played well in the Playoffs and I won the TOUR Championship, I figured I would keep rolling with it, and I wanted to play at Torrey at the beginning of the year.
